It’s not the tax, rather it’s how much tax imposed is the main thing. From 5% to 18% for computer and mobiles, from 12% to 18% for broadband/ telecommunication sector (yet Digital India propaganda) etc. Customs duty also was 18% (as far as I recall), now it’s 41%. If the people of this country don’t start having common sense the current low-lives will be reelected in 2024 too.

Without tax how the development will be done? Just check how many people pay tax in india…

All are paying indirect taxes including poor. There is no escape for Indirect taxes.

Exactly, last two years they played it so well in their favour.

Last to last BBD, I purchased one monitor Net I paid from my bank Rs.4900 around and I received 1 voucher worth Rs.300

So seller/manufacturer got just Rs.4600.
including shipping plus taxes.

You will be surprised to know that, GST was charged @ 28% or Rs.1421🤐

Seller (Amazon) got just Rs.3200 for 21.5 inch FHD monitor

Abb manufacturer (HP) ke barre mein to kya hi soche as they have to pay listing fees to Amazon, and have to provide 3 years onsite warranty as well.🥴
