I recently got Platinum Travel Card. And I’m looking for ways how can I get MRCC as a companion card. I know a lot of people get this combo when they get upgraded to platinum travel from MRCC. But does anyone got MRCC as companion to plat travel ?
If anyone has any insight on how to get one or knows what criteria Amex follows to issue companion cards, please share.
Just read a guy got smart earn as companion with 4 month old MRCC on high spends.

Which card do you have and which card did you get as companion?
If you have MRCC then you’ll get plat travel card.
But downside is they’ll not waive off fees if you don’t meet target spends for Plat travel card.
For MRCC they always waives off. Hope this helps.
Had to cancel my plat card for the same reason.
My spends are high so I can easily achieve spend based milestones and that’s good enough against fees.
Do they even waive off fee if you don’t meet 1.5 lakh criteria for MRCC ?
Is smart earn card worth taking as compainon or not ??
Depends on what other cards you have
Use it for couple of months & then you will receive email automatically. no need to do much. Happened the same for me
