I want to invest lumpsum amount of around 30k for long term (around 2-3 years).
I know it's not much, but that's what I want to put in.
Any best direct mutual funds? Or any other suggestions?

Should I do direct growth plan or regular growth plan (via an agent)?

Appreciate your suggestions :)
Thanks.

30% small cap  40% large cap  40% Medium cap  .

Search any such Mutual fund  or  biffercate in 2 mutual funds

Go for Direct type.   Redeem whenever u get more than 25%  absolute returns   or stay 5 years whichever is earlier.

25% absolute .... That is less than 5% returns over 5 years....which is less than current FD rates. Better give him target of returns over 2-3 years.

2-3 years is not long term by any yardstick. Not at all recommended in equity. Won't recommend debt MF too as significant taxation benefit comes into play post 3 years. Better to just stick with a high return FD, a lot of them are giving 7.5% for that time period.
