LUNA crash: Why is Terra Luna crashing?
The Terra ecosystem has adopted UST as a stablecoin, leading to the interlinking of LUNA and UST. A stablecoin is linked to an underlying asset, such as precious metal such as gold, or the US dollar.
UST has recently ‘de-pegged’ to $0.45 from its value of $1. This marked a drop of about 55 percent. Since both UST and LUNA are interlinked, the massive drop in UST value has resulted in LUNA’s overall drop.
As per CoinDesk, Terra’s market cap now stands at under $1 billion ($994.17 million at the time of writing). This is in stark contrast to its all-time high market cap of around $25 billion.
For now, investors can only wait for the market to progressively stabilise to help recover from the losses.

beacuse they sold their large amount of stable coin to someone for staking and instead he sold their stable coin.
to counter that move they took huge amount of their from btc and tried to re stable their main coin but of no use since mistake was alreayd done and panic seller started dumping luna and ust

When it comes to crypto, here’s what I understood:-
1. 99.99999% have no idea what is it. Even those who are building those so called web3 or crypto ecosystems.
2. Very very, very few are looking to create something genuinely useful. And the chances of it being realized is also close to zero. And the intelligent among know this very well.
3. Those who are dreaming of ‘decentralized’ currencies, are indeed day dreaming. It’s not that easy.
And amdist all this, there are real innocents who are have lost their hard earned money. So sad.

Though there are many big brains here who have put down their valuable comments but I will just say : What goes up comes down and what comes down goes up too. Its a cycle of life. Accha ke baad bura aur Bure ke baad accha anaa swabhavik hai. So if you have excess cash after all expenses and investment rather leaving in your bank account, invest in Crypto.
