Maintenance of health(Physical and Mental) before start of a new year
Festive season will be over after Christmas and New Year. We have already celebrated big festivals, so far. And we have all eaten things we should have moderated. And because of corona pandemic, most people stayed inside the house for better part of the year. And after new year people will start making this stupid resolution things. The bottom line. It can take anywhere from 18 to 254 days for a person to form a new habit and an average of 66 days for a new behavior to become automatic is the Google result returned for the query “time to make a habit”. Source https://www.healthline.com/health/how-long-does....
So, we have around 46 days till New Year. Let’s make the best of it.
Solutions
1) moderate your food intake.
2) Stop eating greasy, sugary food. We have stopped eating Swiggy, Zomato foods. Let’s not break that good habit. Indian restaurants will take a lesson and gonna start preparing healthy food
3) Add green vegetable and fruit to your diet.
4) Start doing physical exercises. Exercise like you mean it. Light exercise doesn’t count unfortunately.
5) Sleep early, wake up early
6) Make healthy financial choices
7) Make peace with everyone. Start living as if this is your last day on earth. Talk to that guy/girl you wanted. Hug n kiss your partner if you have any. If you don’t have a partner, make one, maybe. No pressure though.
8) Stop wasting your time. Make every day count. Life is the biggest example of long term investment. I, you, everyone have 24 hours/ day. Some of us utilize them wisely, some of us don’t. I wish I knew that particular switch in our head to make someone persuade to not to waste time.
9) Stop cutting toxicity from your life. Life is beautiful. Some people have a real hard time. But most of us look at other people’s lives and start making up things in our mind. I am like, why? Life has not happened yet. Our time will come. We will face the music for our actions. Let’s focus on our life. Future has not been written yet. Let’s make a good one. (adapted from Back to the future)
10) Stop chasing after that perfect webinars, course, life hack. The toxic world of self help: a world surrounded by toxic positivity, self help addiction, fake gurus, and hustle culture
11) People have given excuses. And we have found them. Now we are looking for excuses to such an extent that, labeling an excuse as an excuse has become an excuse itself.
Years will come and go. Winter has just landed. I can sense the chilled air from North. It will give life to the still blooming kids and take away a bit of life away from us adults. We will be one step closure to our inevitable fate. I still pretend as if I am immortal. I still hold on to my grudges. I still hold a beef with my Gods. I am so stupid. Life is supposed to be beautiful. Life is beautiful. Maybe there is something in the head tells us otherwise. Humanity still evolves. People without homes manage to marry and make babies. I see those babies, playing aimlessly on roads, empty spaces. I wish I could be a baby again. I will ask all of you extremely hard questions. @billubakra maybe you are right. I will speak on behalf of all the destitute, heart broken, wretched, bullied people around the world. I often wonder, when will the chain reaction of someone’s action will stop haunting the many. I have learnt to make peace with those facts. It is a very hard thing to digest. How come life be so good, even after us facing so much sorrowfulness. Maybe everything happens for a reason. Everything is so random and unexpected here. Maybe we are meant to suffer. So that someone might get inspired and starts preparing the remedies for many. But for the first impression, some suffering has to be undertaken. Countless people die just like that everyday. They die and nobody remembers them. That can’t be entirely true. We come across a lot of people everyday. They must be holding some sort of impressions of us. And if knowingly/unknowingly we manage to impress a person, who ll change the fate of mankind. Who knows, a broken heart is needed to write a good song. In the end we need to remain kind. And our collective traits will be passed to our future generations and we will become immortals.
So, let’s take a baby step towards our maintenance. Let’s start with exercise.

Good thread
Vu +kg

EDIT:-
Also there maybe some people who may have Weight/BMI management goals
I’m writing some good Calories intake calculations which may help to reach their goals ( Whether it’s Gain/Loss)
Tomorrow weight = Today’s Weight + ( Today Kcal cons – Kcal burned) /32
If someone wants to loose weight this formula would help
Intermittent Fasting – 0.3 kg / wk
Alternate day fasting – 0.8 kg/wk
Let’s say your Today’s weight is – 68.9 kg
And you consumed 800 kcal today also burned 1800 kcal
Then
68900 + (800- 1800)/32
68900- 1000/32
68900 – 31.25 gm = 68869 gm = 68.86 kg
So in a single day you lost – 31.25 gm
Try for 3 wks …you will definitely loose weight
Same Calculations for gaining

Started working on myself from past 1 month. Shed weight gained during corona. Will start trying to develop a reading habit for career and improve fitness further
Not waiting for new year or corona to end.
Very well written.. I shall try to make that change and make it a habit
You will thank yourself later in life. Congratulations bhai
Agree Sir! #Nachoo
Talk to that guy/girl you wanted
Katrina kaif se baat kaise karoon?
@billubakra maybe you are right
Samja nahi bade bhai.
Agree with what you have written bro. But saala yeh kabhi nahi ho pata mere life mein atleast.
Good initiative with regards to this thread.
I couldn’t go to mountains this year & it was not the correct decision in hindsight. To bring things back on track I’ll be doing regular exercise. I recommend stretching in winters & 40 minutes of cardio 4 times a week.
thanks for taggining me
and congrats for becoming deal captain
Live simple stay healthy.. consume everything in a limit.. make yourself happy without disturbing others which eventually makes your surroundings happy ! Cheers 👍
(No need to follow any chart.. its just my opinion)
You wrote Very beautifully my friend @bikidas2060 but reality is much more complicated and Messy.
Every individual has very different unique body ( genetics and epigenetic traits) and environment so what might be good for me may not be good for you.
Wasting Time: There’s no such thing in my experience. It’s all about priorities and perception. While watching hundreds of hours of improv or “intelligent” comedy I have developed a particular good sense of humour. While that may be considered wasting time. Now I’m reaping the benefits. (( And yes… Same things applies to watching porn too. Just have to keep in mind that porn is not sex education or class for normal human anatomy))
Moderation is key here.
To be continued…
All good points. I would like to add “Pace yourself. Don’t over do it.” to
4) Start doing physical exercises. Exercise like you mean it. Light exercise doesn’t count unfortunately.
