I am holding Citi Rewards (Platinum Visa) Card for last 5 years. It was offered as LTF, but I have been charged membership fee of Rs 1000 now. Did anyone experience similar issue?

as far as i know, CITI does not offer any card as LTF.
You need to spend 30k in one year to get waived off for rewards card

Call up the customer care and first confirm if your card is really a LTF or not. If Yes, they will reverse it easily; send a mail too if needed. If No, then request them to waive it off this time mentioning that you were not aware of; shoot out a mail for it too. Depending on your profile/request, they might waive it off.

Citi bank is very reluctant to offer LTF cards. I use to have a Citi premium miles card for 7 years and had to pay 3000 rupees plus taxes as membership feels every year. It was primarily a travel card with lounge access etc so last year due to lockdown I didn’t feel it’s worth paying the membership fees .Called Citi and spoke to their retention department. They flat out refused to covert the card to LTF. They were willing to offer me some 8k cashback but I refused it and asked them to cancel the card.

Yep, even I have been charged for first time in last 7 years of Citi card. Hardly any offers for CIti and hence my spending has gone down from 2 Lacs to less than 10k last year (Got Amex during this period)
