New Venture
The Company is forming a new SPV namely, KINGS MARITECH ECOPARKS LIMITED. The new venture is to be set up on Co’s own land of 126 acres and is intended to provide fully sustainable plug and play units for multi species Indoor precision aquaculture using sustainable technologies. The cost of the project is expected to be about USD 100 million including the cost of solar power generation of 100 MW. 

Technological Agreement
The Co has an agreement with NEC Corporation, Japan for developing a Proof of Concept (POC) of precision shrimp farming using RAS technology for Vannamei shrimps utilizing AI & IOT solutions. POC 1 has been successfully completed and it is moving into POC-2 which is targeted to be completed by 31st March 2022. 

Exports Strategy
The Co is receiving orders from the Japanese and Middle East markets. It has decided to focus and develop the Japanese, Middle East and European Union markets and divert at least 50% of the current supplies from the Chinese market. The Co is looking to stabilize its exports to the Japanese, ME and EU markets before entering the US market. 

Collaboration with Fisheries University
The Co has entered into an agreement with Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University,Tamil Nadu for a collaborative project to develop standardized pond-based culture technique for commercially important marine species. The focus of the project is to help the small and marginal farmers to augment their
income by helping them to adopt sustainable aquaculture practices. 

Loan from Directors
The Co has availed loans amounting to 3.5 crores from the directors of the Co. 

Future Plans
Opening up new frontiers in technology including open-field recirculating aquaculture systems, organic, sustainable bio-secure aquaculture practices including biofloc and aqua mimicry, multi-tropic, multi-species farming technology, farm automation and integration to produce ideal conditions for growth and productivity and reduce grow-out time period.
