I have mistakenly Selected wrong credit card variant and want to know how to avoid
Hefty annual fee. I haven’t activated card yet. Any way to get rid of annual fee.

Don’t use the card, i.e. don’t register the card
Call customer care and cancel the card, tell them you lost job due to corona hence can not afford this card now.
And better you do not take the card until u r more matured
Else ur next post will be “Mistakenly paid to another card …” 
At least mention which card u wanted to take and which card u selected
