Also their app is now a copy of paytm
Jo hota hai achche ke liye hota hai.
I wish people get to realize the true face of Mobikwik soon and stop using or patronizing it. I stopped using it in 2017 when they introduced Supercash and took away all my earned cashback and converted that into Supercash and set a usage limit and expiry on them. Not to forget their super horrible customer service to add the icing to the cake.

Where the hell we would be using credit cards if every wallet starts charging convenience fees?
Also amazon gv can only be purchased using upi now no option for cc

You mean abuse? We cannot abuse, but we still can use it.
I understand your point, but IMO it’s the karma in return in another form. These wallet loads are so badly abused, they decided to take action now.

Wallet to Bank transfers are chargeable. Then how are we abusing it? We are spending money through these wallets. Then according to you, if we are swiping our cards in an offline POS, that would mean we are abusing it?

He doesnt mean you or me, there are people who abuse this by rotating money to bank accounts through cc to wallet. There was a guy on this forum who literally used to rotate his entire cc limit everyday. Any company is expected to come up with measures to stop this.

Just to add fuel to the fire. There are people who abuse cards on POS terminals. And there are some merchants sitting with POS machine. Their only business is swipe, and pay money after taking certain commission. On papers they will be into some clothing/ restaurant etc business.

I definitely agree. There would always be loopholes but the solution to charge commission of adding money to wallets just doesn’t seem to be sensible.
Track the accounts and ban those accounts/Pos etc.

In general, what doesn’t make sensible will be sensible in future.
They are taking baby steps, let them tip over and learn eventually how to walk through. One just have to wait and watch.
As far as my understanding is concerned, its all intermittent. Even if they make it permanent, users will learn to adapt.
Say even no one abuses, a wallet load is going to be burden on the service providers, and they are not charging for using the services. These providers habituate the users by burning investors’ money, and eventually pass on the charges to the customers.
For example, paytm came up with charges, and the same is credited as cashback effectively making 0 charge to the end user. But what eventually happened? Even that was abused and they decided to stop that as well. In my case I limited my paytm usage and moved on to mobikwik. It is enough to meet my day to day requirements.

Yes, I understand he is talking about those people who do it. And since a single person is doing such heavy transactions, those accounts should be flagged rather than straight away taking such hard steps.
And this is what my concern is, if every wallet is going to ban use of credit cards, then where we are going to use them
Its not just a single person though, its many people doing it with multiple accounts thats the problem. I too share the same anger, even with stringent kyc requirements these people get away with it
