Mobikwik wallet Fraud

Don’t add huge money into the Mobikwik wallets, one of my friend a day back added 30k into the wallet at night and by the morning when he tried to transfer to the bank, the money was not there and today my friend has told me that many people has lost the money from last few days from Mobikwik and there is one single connection among all these fraud transaction that is the payment has made at Croma store.

Please be careful while adding the money to Mobikwik.

What exactly is the issue

I am using mobikwik since 6 years and have not faced any issues till date

I too lost 2k, some vodafone recharge was done from my account, when i complained they have blocked my wallet citing reason as multiple account. I lost that account with 5k balance

Did u give access to your wallet to someone else (maybe your account was also open on somebody else’s phone)

btw on twitter there is a fake Mobikwik account – https://twitter.com/MobiwikSupport/with_r...es – I have flagged it on twitter, but it still exists and continues to dupe people.

Be careful of the huge no of fake rising customer service of wallets n other delivery apps.

Added money from cc to wallet to transfer from wallet to bank when try to transfer there was no money in the wallet and

Not given access to anyone this looks like some hacker looking into the mobikwik accounts closely and looting the huge amounts

Whatever may be the case, they should show the transaction in the history at least.

Might be lack of security at Mobikwik’s end.  Let me tell you how bad their tech team is..

I started using mobikwik web version from 2012 because I liked their simple design and monthly updates of total transaction value of recharges, which helped in keeping tabs of my family’s mobile spends. For few months there were no monthly update mails>I mailed them regarding this>their team has no idea of such feature and replied that they never have sent such mails in spite of me showing the screenshots.

In 2014, I started using mobikwik mobile app. All my family and friend numbers were stored in their app. One day all of a sudden my primary registered number was changed to Father’s number without any authorization but to change it back it asked for OTP. The next day my registered number was again changed to friends number, luckily my friend was still using the same number. When complained, they have blatantly put the blame on me. But the  real reason was a glitch on their end.

When I tried to create mobikwik account with my Father’s number, an error popped up saying an account has already been registered. When i complained, they say that the number is active with other account with different email, so they cannot  do anything unless they receive a mail from same email ID. Mobile OTP login wasn’t launched till then. There is no way for someone to use my father’s number as it was his primary number for last 15 years when Mobikwik didn’t even exist. All this happened because of glitch which I mentioned earlier, i.e, random changing of primary numbers.

Thank you sharing the details, yes there are many security loop holes at Mobikwik end and I have raised the request to deactivate my account.

Same experience.
In my case, they changed primary number to other number. JUST TO REJECT THE OFFER.
(there was some offer running at that time )

Had to follow up, alot to get it changed .

They didn’t even acknowledged their mistake.

restrictions on wallet money usage
restrictions on added cards

There are many on everything I think..
The list of restrictions is end less.

Nothing goes smooth with mobikwik. Its well known for its notorious behavior and can end anything (offer/promotion/any) without any ethics and standards. #Mobiwaste
