Hi friends,
I came know in un expected event with my friend wrt mobile booking feeling to share with you

He is regularly booking mobile for different person but few days before his bank account was frozen, on getting details it is found that he was booking mobiles Say for Mr  A, Mr is selling to retailer Say B shop,

Now B shop has sold mobile to a customer and B shop has directly took payment from customer to Mr A Account ( Upi of Mr A) and customer found some problem on opening the box, customer complaint to shop keeper (B shop) , the Shop keeper asked customer to visit service station as there is nothing can  be done after opening the box,

customer kept phone at shop keeper and Instead of reaching to service centre the customer complaint to cyber cell that Mr A has fraudulently took payment from him and didn't delivered phone.

Now Mr A don't have any proof that he has sold phone to customer and cyber cell is asking proof on what basis he took payment.

As all parties are non GST registered they are not providing bills.

So taking from the above event is

1. Dont book mobiles for unknown
2. Take payment only through IMPS as if possible only from the person for whom you're booking  so there won't be any proof that u have taken fraudulent payment
3. Always book mobiles for actually address of the person for whom you are booking ( Avoid fake address like Raju bhai ko de dena)
4. If possible book for pickup if for Amazon / pickup from store if physical stores available like croma / reliance degital

You can add more points for safety.

Most important don't accept payment directly from customer as u don't know him and the person for whom you are booking also don't know him. Now a days cyber cell is more vigilant and blocking full account instead of transaction amount and taking 5-6 months to unblock.

You are booking for mere 500-1000 and your lacs of rs can be blocked, u need to make credit card payment on time else penalty is much more than commission.

Hope above incident may help someone from a fraud.

I always wonder how come people convince themselves for ordering for some random person.

I mean what if that person uses it for some illegal activities isn't that will link back to the person who have ordered it.

It's not wise to do get into such stuff as it might cost a lot in future.

That's why take payment from legal source only

don't do such activities as the consequences could be worse as its clearly mentioned on e-com site/bill that products you ordered are not for resale.

Worst can happen in this scenario. Suppose a psychopath/serial killer/hardcore criminal buy that mobile and use it in criminal activities then.............................. Who will be caught.

I think In that case mobile vendor won't be caught, they will catch the  person based on SIM card

What if someone uses fake sim or is not trackable in all the cases they can track back the imei with the purchase.
