Read some news that after price hike of recharge plans huge customers switched to BSNL, also there is small increase in new land line connection users.

Because of bsnl others think twice to increase price. R u agree

Will JIO, AIRTEL, VODAFONE consider reverting the price hike?

No way that they'll revert the prices. Telecom companies take these factors into consideration before increasing the tariff anyways, and most of these people switching to BSNL are doing it for their secondary mobile numbers.

Also, even companies also choose quality of customers than quantity. Airtel has themselves said that their plans are a tiny bit expensive than JIO since they do believe in the same principle.

Once the price is increased, then it will never be decreased. Yeah but they may increase the benefits!

Never. They are probably itching to increase prices again.

Somewhere in airtel/jio hq, there is a board with a date set after 6 months to discreetly leak a price hike to the media. Then increase it 20% by this next year.

no it'll continue to increase by 20% every year or two till eternity they don't care about all those low paying customers who r leaving to bsnl they themselves said it

People are switching to BSNL as a knee jerk reaction. Just wait till they see the 3G speeds and fluctuations and they will come running back to the private players. BSNL needs to up their game big time to retain a chunk of this 30 lakh new customers.

Bsnl is not good, but paying 509 for 84 days to receive incoming calls for many users is injustice.. vi in my area is small brother of bsnl. Vi internet is not able to open vi app sob my number ported to airtel and is in process.

Bsnl has no network many don't receive any messages/OTPs, many can't send message even to verify upi sim.

Some news is always there about new contracts, more money but God knows where all that money is going.

Won’t decrease bro. Maybe temporary offers might come to pull customers from other networks.

You are right about BSNL being perfect for senior citizens who need calls only. Even for young people who gets always on access to Wifi bsnl is a good option, eg housewives or wfh guys.

At my location BSNL gives 4-6mbps on 3g. While jio 500+mbps 5g. Recently I got inquisitive and tried to stream some videos, fb reels etc on BSNL 3G, I didn’t feel any difference. So after all BSNL is not that bad as it’s made to look like.

But I believe the cartels will force BSNL to hike prices too, once the service of BSNL gets good. That would make switching networks no point for price factor.

They look at overall revenue which increased even after calculating losses,

also they have blind trust in bsnl that these cust would come back after 90days.
