As notified by telecoms, recharge prices are to be hiked from today.
But as of now I don’t see any price hike.
However, if you see that prices are hiked, then post the details with before & after prices.

Definitely Jio won’t hike this much, Its 50% hike. Not reasonable.

As expected hike is not much. They are looking for 250/month ARPU which is good. 75-80% don’t use much data or calls and the way it was misused will be curbed now. They should bring better plans for voice users and data only plans too. Combo not attractive. Nowhere in world we see cheap wireless services.
OTT Apps like Zee5, HOOQ, AltBalaji, Firestick TV will get affected. Good news for DTH industry too as people will be back to TV. So keep an eye on DTH stocks like DishTV. 
BSNL 1999 will become choice of many now. 
User Specific Offers will keep giving better benefits at lesser prices.

Just got in touch with Airtel CC. I have 558 plan activated. He said I could recharge with 558 plan from my Airtel or other apps and it would get queued up and would give me same benefits, but only one more time. But it won’t show up as a queued plan and will automatically start with same benefits once my current plan expires.
If I however recharge with a different plan, then it will supercede my current plan and start from today itself. It is CC though, so not sure if to trust them or not.

is jio discontinued 149/- plan? can’t find on jio 4g plans page.
Even if they didn’t..that has become a pretty useless plan after they reduced the validity from 28 to 24 days
Even before that…I hardly recharged my phone with that plan unless there’s a 100% GPay offer or 50rs voucher getting applied or something else
It has always been 399/449 and now they are hiking the plan value by 20-40% 
It’s unfortunate for those small players; MTS, Aircel, Telenor… Etc. are gone.
Now there’s just 4 controlling the market.
And since past few years, some of the well known companies are going down due to excessive pressure. I feel really sad for CCD, just because of some officials.
Jio 251 pack can also be lined up ?
Jio is no longer Ambani’s jio. Much of it has been sold. It is in same league with Airtel and Vodea. With time it will probably get worse.
All telcos are responsible for this.
before entry of jio, they were offering tariffs at much higher price.
To compete with jio, they sustained huge losses, rivals idea and vodafone merged, still didn’t report profits after it.
In 2004-05 telcos challenged govt against agr definition.
now, this year, sc gave verdict in favor of govt and concluded that non telecom incomes should be included in agr.
so telcos need to pay pending dues for last 15 yrs plus interest to govt as per the revised agr definition.
tariff hike is combined effect of all this. some people saying hike is not much..
