So i'm using my 5 years old android mobile with 2GB/16GB version and yes it does sucks to use upi apps. And it's not helping that I'm using banking apps instead of Paytm/GPay

Before i settle on one of those apps i'd like to know which app seems most lightweight amoung all these. So far PhonePe and GPay are the only lightweight and supports UPI Lite

Have you you guys came across any lite UPI payment apps  ? only criteria is it should support UPI Lite payment.

The standard BHIM app is pretty good as well. I am using it in my device launched 7+ years ago. To be fair other apps work just fine as well most probably due to the extra 1GB RAM.

not just the RAM but the inbuilt memory play a role too here i guess as i barely have 1GB of free space at any given point of time on my mobile

And i just compared Bhim, PhonePe, GPay where bhim has least size on PlayStore for app so i will go with it

Yes. For optimum performance of flash memory 20-25% should be free. How is it down to the last gigabyte? You can use Disk Usage app to check which apps are hogging the storage. My 2/16GB Redmi 3s albeit not even a secondary device usually has around 4GB free that too while hosting 2nd accounts in Work Profile.

well to be fair i don't have secondary device so whenever my mobile storage runs out of space i just copy paste all the data like photos and videos to usb stick, which then lasts for few months

And to answer why it doesn't haveore than 1gb of free storage  ? well on 16GB device there's only so much of a space you are left with. Its all just apps that uses this storage and all of these apps are the ones which i actually need i try to keep it as clutter free as possible

Use BHIM UPI app (original)...

You will not get any cashback but no payment problem will come.

this is the one I'm thinking about, does anyone have a first hand experience using UPI Lite feature on either Bhim or on any other app  ?

Yeah. It's pretty simple. I had used months back. Just add money beforehand. Entering UPI PIN isn't necessary. Works only for merchant payments AFAIK.
