Of the 13 top and smaller brands of processed and raw honey, including Dabur, Patanjali, Baidyanath, Zandu, Hitkari, and Apis Himalaya, selected for the investigation, only three could pass the internationally accepted Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (NMR) test. The three brands that could pass the test are Saffola, Markfed Sohna, and Nature’s Nectar

Not only honey but oil, ghee r also mostly adulterated

Anything processed is actually adulteration
Refer to article today in most leading dailies, most of the leading brands have been adulterating honey with sugar syrups imported from China that pass through Indian regulatory checks. This is shameful

There is an episode on Rotten series in Netflix related to Honey. How China made entry into America with their cheap & fake honey, how America banned it and how China bypassed all the bans and how they fooled Americans. Very nice episode it was. Don’t remember exactly which season was it because I don’t have Netflix anymore but definitely that series was worth watching

Anyone who has tasted and kept honey extracted a from a beehive will know all of these “packed and processed” ones are packed with some preservative and all kinds of undisclosed whatnots despite their claims of being 100% pure honey.
Be that as it may, the final outcome of this too will be just like Maggi’s MSG saga. 
Adulteration should be a capital punishment crime, tbh. Be it spraying apples with a coat of wax to make them look glossy and shiny or mixing [dirty] water in milk.
Luckily, deliberate mixing of kankar in rice and wheat seems to have gone away.
This will keep on happening. Won’t ever stop.
