Multiple Debit Cards for a single HDFC savings account owner

After issuing RuPay Platinum Debit card, the branch people say they will hotlist the existing Debit card.
I don't want to lose the existing debit card as its giving good cashback.
They apparently don't know that one account holder can keep multiple debit cards (some senior dimer said this in a thread).
And I don't know how its done.
Is anyone using holding more than one DC for single HDFC account?
how is it done?
I need to know what the branch people has to configure in their systems for allowing multiple DCs?
This is the only way, I can convince them.
Its urgent.

I used total 6 cards in my single SBI account 
1 RuPay classic, 1 Visa Classic, 1 Mastercard Classic, 1 RuPay Global Contactless NCMC card, 1 RuPay-Discover Platinum and 1 RuPay-JCB Platinum.
Offers k chakkaro me itne saare liya tha.

I have seen people flexing photos of 5 millenia linked to same account

As far as I know you can have 2 DC’s in 2 different branches(even for SBI) …but 2 DC’s for single a/c??
