Must buy things from Thailand

Please suggest some must-buy items from Thailand.
One of my friend is visiting Thailand this week. As of now, they have only planned to buy Trolley and backpacks as few people said that these items will be cheaper.

Actually the Philippines, Vietnam, Thai made appliances, electronics, devices that I have used.. have all turned out to be fairly good (quality) and better lasting too.
Garmentswise, shoes wise.. I preferred Indonesia as could personally pick those things when in Bandung, Jakarta etcetera.

Although Shri Lanka is closer and often works out cheaper too, if getting any of those greeting cards made from elephant dung.. then you might have a resale opportunity with me.
Also the cutlery or 'pattal'/ "dona" (plates, bowls) production from stubble, husk has gradually picked up quite good there.
Again, although I would rather support our local initiatives in it too, I would not repurchasing some of those things too.

For self use, you or your near-dear one's requirements would be better known to you.
Weight limits will be tight, if it is a low cost carrier, so any bulky items might not be worth transporting in baggage.
