My poco x3 pro is dead need suggestion

Hey,

I was using my yesterday. The only app that was opened was binance and whatsapp ( So am I not assuming that my phone overheated). Suddenly I saw a glitchy screen and after few second it turned off and is not responding at all. I have tried pressing all combination of power button and volume button, connecting it to charge.

I am a normal user not a tech enthusiast so all the setting are factory setting. I hadn't updated my phone recently, last update was atleast more than 6 months ago.

When I connect it to my pc, as if it has detected some usb device but nothing more than that can't even see charging light glowing on my phone.

Also the most surprising thing to me was when I woke up in the morning the battery portion of the phone was slightly warm. Not very hot but the kind of hot you get from normal usage. Not sure why was it hot if my device is dead.

Anyone has any experience of the problem can help will be appreciated.

The device was 2.5 year old so no warranty possible

Going to Mi centre is of no use.

Hope you have backed up your data.

Only solution is resoldering CPU/RAM.

Some people do it.

Rest, nothing else can be done.

Wait for BBD, buy a new phone, anything except Poco.

Do tag them in Twitter, so other people searching internet also find this.

Mine Poco X3 also was dead, resoldering didn't work for me though. So bought a new phone.

I can’t forget this phone, bought as developer phone and once I got the news of dead MB in telegram groups, I sold it on cashify for a cheap price. It was 5-6 months old unit. I was a developer and helped in a lot of roms for this phone (cheap phone/good config).

Even though Poco offered 2 years warranty, horrible experience in the service centre and now I don’t recommend anyone to buy Poco phone.

right now I am relying on reballing.  Planning to exchange the repaired device in BBD if I get a good price or will keep at as secondary phone.

Important data is backed up still you never backup all your data, will loose some photos, etc.

Hope reballing helps.

If you can mention the price for resoldering, I am not sure about price will be visiting shop tomorrow, idea bout cost will really help

Yeah, he did solder it back, but I got message of "Phone has been destroyed".

I suspect Mi service centre might have done something.

Then I left at it.

My redmi note 4 so dead recently which my kids were using for games. I am trying for factory reset, but it reaches to 99.99% and then stuck there. Any idea how yo do factory reset of redmi note 4 by resolving this 99.99% error? Phone was working fine for kids before that.

same happend with my realme x3 2 days ago, any idea how much resoldering cost.  as local shop guy asking for 3000

@B3A5T @Epsilon_delta

Came today to the market. Price for reballing was quoted 1000 with 1 month warranty.  Technician on inspection informed thats its issue with some ic and is charging me 2200 for change of faulty component with 1 year warranty.

I opted for second option as it has one year warranty and my phone didnt had any issue so I am planning to use it for another year.

If you are able to access the fastbooot mode by pressing power & Volume+ keys, then it is possible to reinstall the system software by downloading the Fastboot ROM for your device and flash it on your device by connecting USB with PC using Mi Flash Tool. Youtube videos are available to help you do it step by step
