Need help about laptop battery

I was looking for purchasing battery for my fujitsu a555 laptop online and found it to be available in following websites. However since these aren’t big/famous websites, I need some help regarding authenticity or any past order’s experience of yours from these websites. Thanks in advance.

FYI, Once you start using any replacement battery on laptop, do not allow it to completely discharge, like not using your laptop for 2 weeks so the battery gets fully discharged.

Most replacement laptop batteries once fully discharged never work again, even if they were working well before the last time.

I second this from personal experience. I had purchased original Acer battery in July and now the capacity has become half in just 3 months. Laptop now shuts abruptly even if more than 50% battery is displayed remaining. I used to charge only when the battery level dropped below 10%. We should keep these Li ion batteries between 20-80%

To the OP, I would suggest to go and check in local shops once. I found prices less there compared to the online stores. And moreover all these seem to be compatible batteries not original.

My Fujitsu A555 laptop battery also needs replacement, local shop in Kolkata couldn’t arrange any battery.

The laptop is still super, I have installed SSD last year and it seems we still have couple of years of Good life. However, battery backup is now very poor, less than 15 minutes. So it’s always necessary to keep the charger plugged in and if I forget about it, then laptop switches off abruptly.

Mine has been dead from last 1.5 years, getting replacement parts for this laptop is truly a nightmare.

Yes, that’s the risk we all took when we purchased this laptop. The deal was very very good. Well, I think your laptop lasted 3 years, so you should be happy.

Yeah I agree, it worked flawlessly for 2 years, after that my battery became dead, a year before half of the keys stopped working. Still a very decent purchase got it for around 23k. Blindly purchased since fujitsu is a nice brand and also thought they were expanding into indian market.

I am getting 4-5hrs of backup and it came with a year warranty.

That’s good to know that battery is available but Rs. 3600 is too much. My battery also died but I’m using it with plugged in mode now. Battery backup is zero now.

Have you tried lappy care? I sent them photo of my Dell inspiron (2006) battery via WhatsApp and they sent me battery with 1 year warranty. 1800 bucks
