need help for laptops
Friends laptop models hp ab032tx and hp ab522tx with time and windows updates booting time became slow. rest everything is ok. please help
SSD
- which ssd will fit in these models? which brand? capacity? how is service and durability?
- ssv vs nvme only speed difference?
- ssd in main slot, hdd in cd drive slot. how much read write will be slow from and to hdd as it is in cd drive? will it impact its health?
RAM
- ssd makes a pc fast. but in mobiles it is said more the ram the faster is the phone.
- why is it not true for pc’s?
- dont really need a ram but thinking about it as it might be needed for future use
Caddy
- Brand?How to be sure of size?
- Is the caddy fixed or can it come out like cd drive?
- if it does then it can cause issues.
toolkit/screwdriver
- suggest toolkit/screwdriver set best brand
Thermal Paste
- looking to clean internals once opened.thermal paste needed? suggest brand?after
- how much time does it dry up once opneed?
Cloning
- which is best software for cloning c drive from hdd to ssd?
- does it clone every file and folder, including system and user created, in c drive and then copy it to the ssd? other forums say that this step can create issues so a fesh install is required. is it true?
- suppose this step is okay and pc boots from ssd, then is it advisable to not format the windows files and folders in c drive in hdd, just in case there is any issue in the ssd and booting is required from hdd?
- suppose in current hdd 4 drives c,d,e,f. after adding ssd and making it primary drive it will become c drive and then next 4 drives will become d (old c drive), e, f, g correct?
planning to diy all of this as outside cost= 4000 labour charges+a full day will be required+mandatory to buy products from them.

only this needs to be removed and reinserted for final check or any more changes reqd while it is opened?
paji ran ubuntu 21.10 desktop-amdx64 after clicking on try ubuntu it used to get stuck on this screen
or if it went to next screen it froze there. then selected ubuntu graphics which is second or third option and it ran smoothly. the touchpad froze after few minutes. this means hardware fault? one thing which is not letting me peace is why it works normally after clicking reset in windows option?
then tried to boot with hbcd 15.20 the last official version of hbcd but it didn’t boot thru it. should i try to boot thru unofficial version of hbcd?or is there any similar option?
going thru cash crunch so cannot afford a new laptop at this time 
both laptops were opened same time and first one is running very well with ssd. dont know what happened with this laptop asked 4 different hp service centers they said spares of this laptop are not available so nothing can be done
paji if booted thru hbcd we can access contents of all drives like c d etc.but they are not visible thru ubuntu. why?

Trying live linux is unnecessary when the touch pad isn’t freezing with the generic drivers on windows. Anyways. the performance should be the same with Ubuntu (Bad sensitivity) unless the synaptics driver is installed via updates or terminal. If it is not then there could be some issue with live USB
Try to install the drivers via ubuntu terminal and see if there’s any change regarding the touchpad performance

what is the difference between description- automatic restore point type- system
and
description- windows module installer type- install ?
for how long does these restore points are saved?
if reverted back to old point then it will delete everything in c?
