I have been advised to wear shoes with cushioned and flat sole. Surfing through the net I found these but not sure of which one to pick. Any person with experience with these are free to advise.
I was going to buy this one but then saw the other options and am confused whether they all have same cushioning and flatness?
Important: The shoes shouldn’t bend when put pressure on them vertically.

You should better ask your doctor or physical trainer. This is a very specialised field and have niche players.
These medical equipments are often imported and not well-advertised.
Recently I had to buy an armsleeve for a relative. The name of the company is Medi (a German company). I couldn’t believe that for one sock-type thing we had to pay 2K. It was the cheapest. The costliest one can be 8-9K.
So, better ask some expert.
May be the doctors can help. Silent Tags.

Where I live I have access to neither. A good one that is. There’s no Nike store either to try myself.
Hoka One One is the brand that produces flat sole shoes with lot of cushioning.
Shoes given in the links above are uncomfortable shoes. They will destroy the feet as they don’t have any internal curve for supporting the natural curve of the feet.
I am speculating that Flat shoes advice means that : Your shoes should have minimum toe to heel height, so that you can learn again to walk naturally or is your problem something else?
Natural walking will use our body’s natural shock absorption mechanism and put less pressure on heel and joints.
Good brands are New Balance, Merrell, Hoka One One, Asics, Inov, Mizuno etc
If you want cushioning, you will find good models in Hoka, Asics etc

^^ taken care of.
@micke, it could also be post surgery care or something simple as flat feet.
But if there isn’t good medical care professionals available around, then how’s one to ‘confirm’ that the decision is correct/ choice of footwear.
@dimepincher the orthopedic and post operative care equipment or aids are a high profit business. Especially when a product/ brand isn’t officially launched. The smuggled or imported item increases the chain (number and greed) and final price. Despite having got custom shoes made 20+ years back for flat feet and paying 1500-1600 for it, I was as awestruck as you when purchasing the ‘LP Band’ few years back. Was unaware and went to the area/shop the hospital staff had suggested.
OP you may consider replacing the word picking with the word ‘selecting’ in the title.
knowing what D&D has become lately, for a moment there (before opening the link) I thought you are standing outside a Gurudwara or Church or Mosque or Temple and .. need help… : oops:

I am flat footed and the running shoes I tried from Reebok and Adidas(well cushioned running shoes) made things even worse. Finally, I had a chat with a US based sports trainer who advised to try a ‘flat footed shoe with ample cushioning’ and made clear that the sole should not bend when it’s pressed vertically. He also said to try canvas shoes which ofcourse should meet the above criteria.
From the brands you mentioned I have had success in finding only two available online in India.
http://www.jabong.com/Asics-Gt-2000-2-Black-Run...
and
http://www.jabong.com/Nike-Lunarglide-6-Black-R...
None of them have flat sole. And, from previous experience curved sole hurts me.
Hence, the above choices.
You are actiing on a ‘chat advice’ from whoever . Now i know how iPills sell like anything! Self medication and trial and error aren’t good.
i had the hunch and thats what i wrote above too, that it could be for flat feet. Getting them custom made is the better.
Have had knocking knees and flat feet all my life. Timely correction helps, as in your age and if the body/parts are still in growth phase. I doubt that ‘good cushioning’ is the solution. The contouring is important and specific to each person.
Rest is up to you and hope you get adequate care to help correct the condition.

That whoever is a trusted track and field trainer and what difference does it make what was the medium of communication? You and me are communicating on a internet based media too.
my mistake : oops: i guess. Always believed orthopedic consultations and actually diagnosis was important. Could have saved lots of those visits (time and monies) for an actual doctor to look.

Nike Lunarglide 6 is a good option.
It is also recommended here:

Brooks is another great brand.
In India, shoes are usually available in only single width. You can get them in many width sizes from US.

Appreciate your help, Micke. I would like to try them first before buying so my options are limited to only those available here.
