I’ve been using a Borosil 42 litre convection oven for a while now, bought it for 7.5k. I needed it to fit a 10" cast iron pan (Lodge, w/ handle). Works fairly well, have made pizza, bread, everything really.

OTG == just an oven, as opposed to a dual-purpose microwave oven

Convection just means there’s an internal fan for increased air flow around your food and faster cooking.

Even though there is not much scientific study finalizing harmfulness of microwaves, I personally feel Coil based heating of OTG is safer than Microwave Oven.

Also in OTG, convection is not a must if we can learn controlling temperature + right mix of recipes.

Some user on DD said OTG is simple technology, doesn’t matter much brand wise, so buy any otg but it should have convection fan

So I bought cheapest one I could find with fan

I guess in good brands they have good calibration for temperature cut-off/control?
Also I heard that the fan just makes food cook a bit faster, and we don’t lose anything other than that.
Is it true?

Normal OTG:- heating will be higher near the heating coil
Convection :- Fan is there to circulate heat to everywhere so even-cooking and faster cooking(so you don’t have to turn biscuits over for even-baking)
