I need help to get my refund from spicejet Airlines my flight was cancelled by spicejet on 8 June 2020, due to corona issue and they wanted to provide me refund in credit shell but after discussing this with spicejet they got ready to provide me refund in bank account but till now I have not received my refund in bank account every time when I contact them they say as you will receive it as soon as possible. And till now I have not received my refund its  36 days passed now.

Can anyone provide me solution to get my refund as I have contacted them through all the possible ways including twitter and Facebook but till there is no refund in my account.

have you received credit in your account yet. considering current scenario none airlines are refunding amount. rather you can ask for credit and use it for future flight bookings.

Thery have not provided me credit as they are saying that, they have send request to provide me refund in bank account but till there is no refund.

If you have confirmation on email for refund, raise a dispute with the bank and provide all the doc to process the chargeback..

That’s the issue, they are not ready to send any confirmation mail regarding refund, everything they discus only over call, and every time denies to send confirmation mails saying that they don’t have authority to send mail.

I think they have not raised any refund.
On twitter confirm whether they have raised refund.
if yes: Ask them to just share UTR / ARN number.

1. UTR : if refund is generated by NEFT -then ask them to share UTR . with which you can check status of a transaction with your bank

OR

2. ARN (Acquirer Reference Number) is a tracking ID with which you can trace the status of a transaction with your bank

Writer a proper detailed case about your pending refund.
Send a tweet message to all the below key people (found from spicejet wiki)-

1. Ajay Singh (MD)
2. Kiran Koteshwar (CFO)
3. Debojo Maharshi (CMO)

They have not initiated refund yet, everytime they are saying that they have forwarded my complaint to concern team at high priority, but nothing works my money is there with them for nearly 2 months.

I had no problem in taking refund in credit shell, but they have validity of 10 months, plus spicejet flights are at higher price compared with other airlines, & I had booked tickets on behalf of my friend and this credit can be used only for same pessangers that is only for my friend, amount is Rs.16200/- which is big amount for me. And make my trip have marked my trip as successful. God knows what they are doing and no action is taken against airlines till now, most of people are now getting panic over this issue.

Received refund in bank after lot of tries, but make my trip deducted Rs.600 convenience charges by saying it’s non refundable, before this I had not faced such issues and had not paid any convenience charges for cancelled flight by airlines.

Could you please tell when you have booked the tickets. (Before or after lockdown?)

I have booked before lockdown and they credited in creditshell only. Is it possible to get refund from them now?

I had booked it after Lockdown, and actually taking refund back in source account is really a torture as everyday I used to contact airline twice a day for almost 40 days to initiate refund back to source account, also it took another 16 to 20 days to get refund credited to bank account.

i think for booking after lockdown, they should refund as per judgement. For booking before lockdown, they provided credit shell, i am not planning to travel now. Don’t know whether it will expire.

I faced this issue two times during this covid situation, & both times was able to get refund back to source account, only thing I can tell you that contact them everyday for same request, in my case I had told then that my job is gone and don’t have any money to spend on my daily expenditure, this worked in my case. If you want you can give a try.
