Hi guys. I wanted to know how much it would actually cost to get a UPS installed for home and what kind of backup capacity I would need.
Stuff I want to run for 2-3 hours during blackouts:
1 PC : 350W
1 TV : 100W
5-6 LEDs : 100W
3 Fans: 200W
Total: 750W
I have no experience with this. So, any advice would be awesome.
Also do tell what UPS systems you use in your home as well.

How much would these cost?
And what brand should I look into?
Although you have most requirements clear, think of those equipments you will run all at a time. I’m sure you will not run all the items you listed at the same time, so the load will be distributed and this way you can reduce the battery and inverter capacity.
Not a good idea to calculate the UPS capacity assuming you would be running partial load. You need to assume that you would want to run everything together when you plan on UPS in case of a emergency. Yeah sure it might seem overhead but when building a single battery system the cost won’t be much when you buy a 200ah battery instead of 150ah battery. All other things would still remain same.
You should try luminous inverter.. Now it depends on what city you live in for service coverage.
Now it comes as what are things involved in it :
1. Inverter
2. Battery
3. Wire or fitting to done at your meter or across house..
I researched about this more and found LFP – lithium iron phosphate – batteries are way better in efficiency.
Do you know any trusted sellers selling this in 100AH capacity in India?
Have you thought of using renewable source
Sun air.
While Working from home and seeing so much youtube, I feel, We can do better job at using this free source. Initial. Cost would be there but it would pay off in long run…

Let me guess you all are engineers? 👨💻 🔧 👍🏻
No karma(can’t give more) for guessing
only unemployed or under-employed engineers in dd
aisa mat bolo jisko sunke dusre ko buraa lage
i’m sure there must be many millionaire dimers here who just come for a kick and sake of old friends
I have bought luminous tall tabular battery and inverter..
200 ah costed me around 12 and inverter costed me 4500
I got lowest quote of 16k for tall tubular 150AH luminous battery or Microtek battery.
Decided to go with Exide.
Everything is costlier and they give Corona as reason.
Banglore should be hot spot for delivery.. You should get it cheaper..
I waited for 10% off with bank
https://www.batterybha...m/ can be looked at..
Not in reality bro.
And the prices are way too high on that site.
u require at least 1000 VA ups assuming power factor as 0.8 (750/0.8 =937 VA ~ 1000).
Coming to the battery capacity, u need 200ah to run 750w for 2.5-3 hr.
Your load demand is 750w so , A 200ah 12 v vattery will provide you a 2400w(200×12) for 1 hr or 750w for 2.5-3 hr.
