Thinking from long time to create a thread, but reading other suggestion threads so far. But the time has come now!

I’m a long time user of MIUI. Been using mi4 since 4 years. I’m thinking of moving to Realme XT.

Any one who has moved from miui to color OS, please comment here on what you liked/disliked in both.

In miui, Ads are not at all a big concern to me, because I rarely use native mi apps.
To be frank, my phone usage is limited to Calls, SMS, Whatsapp, Camera, Chrome and other banking/recharge apps.

Strictly against Pop Up Camera.

Budget: 20k

Please suggest if there any other options.

Realme XT recently got an LOS build. Its still in beta. I haven’t used ColorOS but its considered even more obnoxious than MIUI. At least with Xiaomi devices there’s no dearth of custom ROMs. But since Realme X was seeded by the company to a bunch of devs, it along with XT should have some development going forward.
P.S. Block ads system-wide using Blockada. Open source and free. Doesn’t need root.

Forgot to mention that in order to flash custom ROMs on Realme devices you have to unlock the bootloader which voids your warranty unlike Xiaomi.

@LIMBO Those days are gone. I’m no more into custom ROMs or any. Just the device and my app requirements. So I should be happy with native OS. In such cases, real me is not an option I guess

Speculation is that “Realme is due to get it’s own realme OS based on oxygen.”

Off late I use Samsung ONEUI, REALME AND OPPO COLOR OS AND REDMI MIUI"

I HAVE USED MOTO , LG, SONY UI but I don’t love any OS or hate any. Because I have a very specific set of requirements very similar to yours.
