Hi everyone,

I am 36y, 5'10 tall, 94 kg. I was always around 85-88kg before the year 2023. But due to the office, my whole day routine has impacted. Not able to go to the gym, so I have decided to restart again. Due to weight my personal life is affecting with my partner, I am not that active like before. I exhaust myself if I climb 4-5th floor of the stairs.

Suggest me some good whey protein, natural home made Protein food, pre workout drink etc. Till 2020 I have used Muscleblaze Whey Protein, I don't know how much the fitness trend for supplements has changed in 4 years. So kindly update me which brand and product would be good for RESTART of my fitness journey (i.e weight loss)

pray

Whey protein is required only when you are going gym regularly for at least an hour otherwise your muscles won't be able to absorb the protein and ultimately no results.

Order Whey Protein from "PIGI". They don't have a website but an app only.

The max result I got from "Dymatize".

Pre-workout: Rolled oats + water before 45 minutes of workout. Take black coffee (Coffee + hot water) before 10 minutes of workout.

No need for fancy things to get an aesthetic physique. Do not waste money on supplements until you are doing an intense workout.

Nothing can beat a proper natural diet.

I made abs by eating rice only on a regular basis. It's all about macros but not about the food/supplements actually.

Most effective Tips: Stop watching fitness videos, diet videos, or any other fancy stuff. Each and everyone's body is different and no two can get the same result by following the same diet and weight plan.

Seems really underweight!!! And no amount of alcohol is safe FYI in case you aren't aware of the latest research. The longstanding myth of moderate consumption of red wine being beneficial has been put to rest.

Whey  Proteins and similar types are Glorified and   are  Slow Poison  for Your Body .

Just  do  Regular  Excercises  , Push ups , Surya Namaskar  Yog , and Brisk walking .

Surya Namskar alone  can solve  your weight issue if done sincerely for 6 months.

Check fuelone whey isomax "isolate whey" (muscle blaze sister brand) or muscleblaze biozyme whey.

Aavatar also seems good but didn't tried... Check trustified yt channel for protein powder authentications

You have to decide first if you want to lose excess fat or build muscle as the latter is difficult not to mention really slow while on a calorie deficit which is non-negotiable in case of the former.

Without a calorie deficit either from dietary restrictions alone or in combination with exercise and/or cardio it's very difficult to lose much weight. No amount of workouts would suffice. It seems willpower is the biggest issue in your case.

Keep track of daily calories consumed in an app like My Fitness Pal, Chronometer etc. Log everything, even the most minute snacks. *Weigh the raw ingredients. Invest in a kitchen weighing scale for the same. ActiveX is very accurate but Atom is also good reportedly. I never needed to track calories earlier but it has proved to be invaluable while I try to lose the last couple of inches of stubborn abdominal fat after a brief detour last year. I only wish I had started calorie tracking earlier. And weigh your weight regularly. ActiveX again is an excellent option.

I have no issues getting close to 100g protein/d (1.6-1.7g/kg bodyweight) even in a 99% veg. diet with minimal contributions from dairy and other animal sources. Soya chunks play a pivotal role in this. Besides fibre intake has to be maintained.

Besides the proteins tested by theliverdr and his team last year Maxn & Muscle Nectar also fared well in tests by PFC (Project Fitness Community - very helpful TG group). Also Amul IIRC. Trustified is another good source of reviews as mentioned above.

There are variety of low calorie foods that can keep one satiated for long like Tofu, low-fat paneer, cauliflower, cabbage, spinach, boiled chickpeas, veg salad etc. No need to waste money on fancy food items. No food item is off the table as long as the macros are taken care of be it (whole wheat) atta and even (white)rice. Portion control is key besides limiting junk and processed food items.

*Fasting blood glucose and other tests can be normal whereas insulin resistance due to excess abd. fat could have set in years earlier. Specialised tests to detect ins. res. are available.

Edit: Amul has launched a variety of low-fat, high protein dairy products this year the highlight being paneer priced very reasonably at Rs 337/kg.

You dont need whey protein right now when you are starting a weight LOSS journey. You just need a proper nutritious but also  calorie deficient diet along with cardio to reduce weight. Stick to natural foods and dont go for fancy diets. I only used whey and pre-workout when doing weight training and I ended up gaining some 15kgs of muscle. Cutting is much easier but you do need to stick to a routine. Later on you also incorporate HIIT along with regular cardio.

But dont reduce calories too much and the body will get used to it and weight reduction will be difficult later on. And you'll end up feeling lethargic and tired all day from lack of energy.

VERY IMPORTANT - Keep an eye on heart rate when doing cardio
