Need to open ICICI Mine account offline

if u want to open account by visiting branch then go to icici branch, ask them to open a zero balance Silver account

icici has a scheme that if u deposit 50k at the time of account opening, they provide u zero balance silver acc which is way better than mine variant…

usually silver acc variant has AMB of rs 25000… visit the branch and ask the branch manager about this… this offer varies from branch to branch…

Most likely no, Mine acc cannot be converted to another acc type as far as I know.

no u can’t… zero balance silver account can be opened as a fresh/new customer… by branch mode only…. old account cant be converted into it

I haven’t yet heard of a bank account with “expiry date”. Once any specific acc variant is opened under some offer/type then it continues to remain so until bank discontinued that specific acc variant. I don’t think icici will ask someone who opened acc years ago to now start paying charges once age crosses 35 while continue to offer same MINE acc as zero balance to new customers with age less than 35.

Depends on whether you want a zero balance icici bank account in case you plan on getting a regular non-amazonpay icici credit card in future as having a bank acc does help in increasing chances of getting offer/approval.

Not exactly, @cashif got pre-approved card but then he already hold many cards with large limits so more of an exception but at least having a bank acc in same bank means you won’t have to do kyc again for any card application for that bank.

It is almost always Branch Manager’s choice to allow such account to open(hence no formal mention of such accounts on any bank website so customer can’t raise a complaint). Maybe your area branch is doing good business so no pressure to fulfill some targets. Such accounts are usually opened by branches under pressure to meet some targets.

my branch is a tier 3 city branch.. they also have zero balance wealth account offer if one deposits 10 lacs as initial funding… i dont know the account code but i had received silver account confirmation sms at the time of account opening… my account is zero bal silver acc i have also confirmed it with customer care..

ur area branch manager can offer such account but its upto manager… maybe ur manager doesnt want zero balance accounts… so he’s denying… im from maharashtra

I went to the branch manager cabin he was like i have been with icici with 5 long heard i have never heard of such offer ,and then i opened desidime app and asked him to read the thread and he was like can you please call those person and i need to speak with them.to understand how the person has opened it .he said least thing i can do is come with 10 lakhs and i can open a wealth account

Why don’t they advertise this scheme?
I opened mine account in May and if i knew this scheme i would have gone with that .

deposit 10 lac n get 0 balance wealth acc, this scheme is everywhere, in some branches deposit limit 5 lac only…

ur BM might not know or he’s lying but my BM personally spoke to me at that time and he suggested me to open 0 balance silver acc instead of regular acc… which state u r from???
