If you have HDFC mill.DC, pay 16k directly through MobyDick (400CB) and 75k through platinum.DC (750CB) if you have. (yes, just open another HDFC account under same custid and you can have 2 debit cards)
For rest 9k, use cred spins and MobyDick pakkaCB 50CB on 7500, amazon offers etc.

Planning of opening HDFC account to utilise bill pay rewards for my credit card bill payment.
I pay atleast 20k amex card bill.
From past few months paying on average of 50k.
Which account should i opt for in hdfc? 10k or 25k minimum balance, to get the bill pay 1% rewards.
Also is the debit card chargeable for 25k savings account?
Where to open the account offline or online? I mean which is better.

I have opened recently, you can have multiple single holder savings accounts in a particular bank for personal/accounting etc purposes. It's the job of HDFC to comply, not my business if what you say is true, I should get a notice too.
Tip: RBI recently issued directive to link all bank accounts of a particular bank which belongs to a unique person (consolidation) under single custid. So that implies it is allowed. Also one may have bank accounts at various branches, isn't it? @guest_999
This is being done to simplify total consolidated relationship view under 5L insurance.

@guest_999 What you said is already done. I got even saving account interest from 2nd account reflecting in AIS statement, so it is already implemented and completely legal, nothing to hide... Regarding lots of transactions etc, normal people have nothing to think of unless one is doing lots of "commercial" stuff, money rotation etc.
Also I'm not sure which Account type code he put in 2nd account... it can be different.

It is very likely your 2nd acc has a different "type code". Many bank's system don't even allow processing of a 2nd acc with same type code under same customer ID.

Only getting the Liberty Debit card with normal savings account will not be working here.
If u hold existing account with axis, First u should change the account variant into Liberty and get Liberty Debit card. So all the features of Liberty variant will be applicable without any issues.

i redeemed 1848 reward points for cash withdraw, do i still need to pay 1848 for hdfc millennia credit card as after cash withdrawing, dues also reduced by 1848 in hdfc bank app..i have little doubt bcs this is my first times redemption of reward points in hdfc millennia. @getready @agnivo007 @guest_999 @decideaim

It's complicated, easy shop is visa platinum but charges 750, thus superior than millenia which charges 500 and is a visa signature. Both charges mentioned are excluding GST

Visit branch or contact RM and ask to open a new account under existing customer ID. Tell them you need another account for separate spends and accounting purposes if they ask. Update us what they say...
