Need urgent help dimers - Go First Cancellation and MakeMyTrip not booking alternate flights

The booking was done three months back when everything was fine. Today suddenly I got call from MakeMyTrip agent and told me to please arrange alternative flight as Go First is non operational since May.
I think I was living under a rock because I had no clue. However are they not liable to inform customers before hand instead of expecting that they will know the news. But the thing is now flight tickets are priced at more than twice the price initially and Mmt is informing to customer 7 days before trip.
They are saying they will not book alternative flight at any cost. What to do? Such luck. Atleast 70k to 80k now will go in booking.
Please help any way to make them book alternative flights or get money back for the additional amount.
Any way to complain somewhere where I will get resolution. I paid for package so are they not liable to take me there instead of saying to book alternative flights.

If flights were part of package deal ask them to either book alternative or refund in full.

Write a mail with all details that flights were part of package and its not my responsibility, Else refund in full.
take reply in written and then file in consumer helpline if response is not positive

Written communication is very important you can give them multiple emails every 6 hours if not responding..
bombard with mails cc their CEO etc if they hv given a flight package, it's their responsibility to provide it. on the side note,that's why these package booking looks scary

Max they are liable for full refund.
Quick question, if booked through a cc, can we raise dispute due to not providig service?
I always used to think that only benefits of agent booking (by paying almost double amount) is that they take care of any cancellation related issues. But now it seems like even that is not happening 😅.
My recent holiday package booked with MakeMyTrip was a complete disaster. 2 of the 3 hotels refused check-in saying that MakeMyTrip had not transferred the payment and the rooms were sold out! At the 3rd hotel, we were given lower grade deluxe rooms even through the MakeMyTrip itinerary voucher mentioned premium suite. The MakeMyTrip dedicated helpline executives simply put my calls on hold while they "connected" with the hotels and later switched off their phones. I was at the hotel reception the entire time and no call was received by any of the 3 hotels from MakeMyTrip. Also, 1 activity planned for 5th May as per the MakeMyTrip itinerary voucher had the booking registered for 6th May with the service operator. Luckily, I paid for the entire holiday using my CC. I have disputed the entire ₹1.1L and my CC has given me a temporary credit. Let's see how it goes...

If they don't budge to issue refund, you may purse legal options seeking refund as well as compensation because the choice of flight operator the GO first is not yours, it's entirely make my trip choice so they are supposed to arrange alternate arrangements or else at least refund. You have a good case but requires patience.

That is why from next time go with Local Agents in your City (Trustable Experienced) or else go with Veena World, Kesari Tours like Companies, Hey will personally take you out to the destination!
These Online things is not working in 2023 ,Those days were gone in india where online cabs,online hotels is accepting! Now,everyone wants to have full amount of booking that is why prefer with tourist companies person with your holiday trip!

i doubt chargeback will work since you have availed the services already albeit of substandard quality. if you get full chargeback, do let us know here
