The company lost 600,000 subscribers in the United States and Canada, which it attributed primarily to its most recent price increase. Asia was the one region that showed growth, with Japan, India and the Philippines among the countries adding subscribers.
The company made $1.6 billion in profit on $7.8 billion in first-quarter sales, a 10% increase in revenue compared with the same period last year.
Netflix, with 221.64 million subscribers, still has the largest subscriber base of all the streaming services

Prime Video has 26.5 Million Subscribers
Netflix has 4.3 Million subscriber that too in Jan 2022

That ~5M Netflix subscriber count is a lot (Cheapest mobile-only SD plan costs 2400/year) while Prime video is a freebie for now with Prime membership (& costs just 1500 for UHD Multi-user plan)
Disney+ Hotstar got popular because of IPL and now they’re offering membership for throwaway prices (99/- for 3months)
It will be interesting to see the subscriber retention rate for Prime video & Disney+ Hotstar once their prices match with that of Netflix
Netflix crying in corner lol

purana to abhi tk dekha nii gya….

Both Amazon and Disney price is in throwaway zone. Once they increase that in future, you will see same attrition as Netflix.

True
Disney+ is mostly cause of IPL, Amazon prime video as it’s bundled with prime [ and ppl buy it way lower than 1499]
