New Credit Card Alert: Airtel Axis Bank Credit Card

Seems like Axis Bank is launching a co-branded credit card in partnership with Airtel India: Airtel Axis Bank Credit Card.

Features:

* 25% Cashback on Airtel Recharges, Bill Payments, DTH, Broadband, etc.

* 10% Cashback on Ola, Swiggy, Zomato, Bigbasket.

* Rs500 Amazon Gift Voucher after completing the first transaction.

* 1% Fuel Surcharge Waiver.

* 4 Complimentary Domestic Lounge Access Per year.

Charges:

* Rs590 Joining & Annual Fees (with GST). You do get an Amazon Voucher of Rs500 which waives off the first year fee.

* Renewal Fee waiver on spending of 2 Lakhs in the previous year.

My Views:

Looking at the category, the card seems similar to Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card, and the Axis Bank Ace Credit Card. It should be a cashback card. However, the 25% cashback should have a monthly cap for sure, else Airtel will get looted. 10% cashback might be unlimited with no caps. One big disadvantage is that it has no reward point or cashback for general transactions, so will be hard to accumulate 2L every year without much rewards!

I had contacted Axis Bank Support and asked for details but they couldn’t confirm it yet! Have to wait for the launch.
