A Lucknow-based businessman was recently targeted in a “sextortion” attempt. Soon after accepting a woman’s friend request on social media, he received a WhatsApp video call from her. During the 15-second call she snared him with seductive gestures and words. Minutes later, the businessman received another call to cough up Rs 30 lakh or see his conversation with the woman leaked on social media. The accused were traced and arrested in Mewat.

Similar case with my friend he got lucky as his real uncle is in Poilce and he told him about the call. Uncle took the call from impostor and asked him about designation and from which police station he was calling for meeting. The impostor panicked and switched off his mobile. They were demanding Rs.20000 from my friend and were telling that screen shot of video call with n*de girl have been uploaded on facebook to remove them he has to pay to some media influencer who will remove them.
Be careful before receiving video call from unknown number if you accept such call please take screen shot before blocking and deleting history to prove your innocence.

They take IDs of poor people offering some money and take SIM, open bank accounts, etc.
