Nice. This is on my "bank road" which has SBI, HDFC, IDFC, IndusInd, BOB, Axis, Canara, UCO, Indian, Federal, Kotak, RBL, Yes, Saraswat, ICICI, PNB, Tamilnad, TJSB and others on the same road 😄😄😄
And BOI, IOB, Central, Karnataka, Cosmos, Union, AU a few metres away lol.
Which card do NKGSB give by default? Type of account? Do they try to force Visa or RuPay classic on you and say Platinum isn't available? Any shortage/availability issues? Card is delivered to home address or branch?

You are living in banking paradise for sure.. Seems like I will have more questions for you 😄
Alright, regarding NKGSB
1. acc type - Savings 1001
2. default card - don't know
3. they did not force or mention visa.. i said rupay platinum, they said ok
4. shortage - yes i guess, i got card after 2 months ( but branch did not comment on the reason of delay )
Hope this helps..
@equalizer
Card is delivered at home address or collected by visiting branch? Card activation at ATM only or online also possible?

Delivered to home address.. I did not visit NKGSB ATM / Branch.. I did draw 100 from nearby ATM ( not NKGSB ) but I do not know if this step is necessary..
My branch said MAB ₹1000 but that's ok. Probably lack of bank employee knowledge.

@abhishek012 please update MAB as 1000 as per bank website ( SB Reg https://www.nkgsb-bank.com/savings-depos...hp )
I was able to convince my branch that I do not want cheque book, hence MAB 500 was given to me..

Got RuPay Platinum with same BIN. Although my NKGSB bank branch is "forcing" me to invest in mutual funds THROUGH them as they have tie up with various MFs. I directly invest online for convenience, why should I invest through them? Any benefit?

The physical card still hasn't arrived more than 22 days of opening account (18 working days). Time to fight at the branch. This month's offer wasted. Net banking and app of NKGSB show card number and expiry but not CVV.
equalizer wrote:So it looks like on average it will take 2 months for me too for physical card. The card is already showing in the app but without being activated. But at least once it arrives at home address, any nearby ATM works (from what you described) to activate it.Delivered to home address.. I did not visit NKGSB ATM / Branch.. Warning: NKGSB is also taking SMS charges every quarter. ₹12 so ₹48 per year so if we add it to the cost of debit card it's approximately ₹200 including GST.
