With regards to this article, please find below an official statement issued by Mr. Shekhar Jyoti, COO of Videocon Industries Limited for your reference.
“10 months’ salary pending news article appeared in few news dailies is misleading and baseless. 6000 employees working in Videocon’s Aurangabad plant is also totally wrong information.
Mr. Gajanan Bandu Khandare who has been quoted as the President of Videocon Group Employees Union is not even an Employee of Videocon and all claims made by him are incorrect and highly objectionable. He has no concern or connects with Videocon on any front.
All Videocon employees at Aurangabad plant are being paid salaries regularly. General Kamghar Union, led by Mr. Baba Farzan is our recognized union and has been associated with Videocon for the last 30 years. No other union is linked with Videocon’s Aurangabad plant. The manufacturing plant is operating smoothly and peacefully. We have recently unveiled our new range futuristic Smart Artificial Intelligence TV which is being manufactured at the Aurangabad plant starting last week. I would re-emphasise that the Videocon’s Aurangabad plant is working smoothly and we share cordial relations with our employees and news claiming likely unrest at Aurangabad plant is totally fake and baseless.
