Non commitment from Amazon despite assurance

Warning – rant. //Amazon fanboys can go elsewhere//
Amazon India has fallen so far below in my eyes, wasn’t expecting for them to be this apathetic from a company like Amazon.
There’s some good chocolates that were only available in few selected places like inside airport shops and a far away shop.
And I asked my niece what she wants for her birthday gift, she asked for that particular chocolate.
I looked around and found it in one unknown online vendor and amazon.
After that I specifically requested in chat and email to pack it up along with dry ice/cooling bag whatever it’s called.
Both ccs assured me that it’ll be packed in standard packaging so no worries and they’ve especially pass on the message to the warehouse/packaging team.
Delivery was unusually late nowadays. Before max days was 6, now 10 days and one order was 1 month.
Today after 11 days, I got the godforsaken package, I didn’t feel anything cool inside but delivery guy already sped off after taking otp.
I opened and ta-dah NO cooling bag, just the box of Galaxy milk chocolates inside cardboard box!!
I opened a wrapper and it was a gooey mess.
I gave all the screenshots of their bullshit assurances and they said it’s non refundable and won’t replace either! Rs 680 gone just like that!
Previously in 2017, I placed order for chocolates and that too came without anything except in a plastic bag. But that was in the middle of winter.
I found that such 3rd class service is only specially in India. You don’t see such disgusting service on Amazon Japan and elsewhere.
The workers here are absolute pieces of 💩 and the supposed quality supervisors are good as dead.

Its normal customer behavior to expect more & more discount and nobody is forcing them to offer more(only competition does). Rest of the thing you mentioned is also offered by them only driven by their own need to be the front-runner in the market.
Also don’t you think that there are a lot of users who’ll stick to them if they offer good service as well as customer support even if they charge a premium than their competitors ?
Its ridiculous when they claim to be earth’s most customer-centric company and been degrading their customer service day by day.
Was it amazon-fulfilled order ? Though nowadays they may even disappoint you if something goes wrong with your a-fulfilled order.
Yes. So called fulfilled by amazon. Seller is that cloudtail. For both the chocolates and mop refills
felt really bad what you had experienced , but as you have shared screenshots they should have issued refund .
I am wondering why you dint get refund for non-returnable product , i believe that could be your past return history with amazon which may have have left them in suspect ..else usually they refund.
Recently I returned this non food grade bowls. You can the reviews as one of them is mine.

Another return was on January and oyster sauce bottle was returned from final delivery station as it was broken on transit or so they said.
Total return/refund/replacement are 7 so far out of 157 orders in that account from 2016-2021.
No cooling can last for 6-10 days… this is summer season (that too after good rains, so expect it a little hotter) unless it is transported in a cooling medium..

Once, after this lockdown happened, I ordered some pantry stuff(as the shops were mostly closed and also items unavailable) of ≈1K – it came all the way till out-for-delivery then without even contacting me(for address/delivery etc.) it was taken back, Courier marked it as rejected by customer
I took the refund and am not ordering anything… Amazon people thinking I have done this(ordering and rejecting thing) wantedly… Delhivery delivery agent told that there was some leakage in the box//packaging and hence, the TL told not to deliver this and sent back.
Money was blocked for some 10days with no benefits
Waste of time//&//energy arguing with the CC additional.. 😏
Didn’t know pantry service can also be a nightmare! Thought it was good as they serve in bigger cities/metros along with huge discounts.

One must be too immature to believe this is even possible with amazon. thousands of packets getting picked and packed every second inside a company like amazon. Everything is fully automated and there is no space for such personal requests.
No wonder, they have stopped attending customer care calls now.
Who knew even a humongous MNC can be turned into the same rotten state as Indian govt office????
Right, none of the people I know faced such horrible service from Amazon abroad yet, just slight delays or packages dropped in bushes.
But look at Amazon India! 3rd class country and 3rd class service and attitude.

You got it wrong , I am translating in English ….No of orders returned/refund wont show for us but it does show in Amazon customer Support Dashboard, they have their own integrated application and the same they are easily able to see Total no of orders placed so far and out of which orders returned/refunded. ( Like how it shows for us total cashback earned so far exactly the same way) surprisingly they know the last refunded order reason also. when ever we call for support this is the first thing they check and based on this they decide if we are really a loyal customer and if our ask is genuine.

And even I ordered once choclate worth around 500₹ and I didn’t get ice but there is a package(instead of dry ice) along with the choclate inside the box
Saar , seeing your special love towards amazon , I implore you to please stop purchasing anything from amazon .
If the girl doesn’t loves you … you stop seeing / pursuing her …. No gain in one side love story .
I ordered dairy milk from Amazon and those came with ice bag a few months back. I think they do take care of orders that are Amazon fulfilled.
but how long ice bag will be cool ?
Don’t order biscuits or chocolates from Amazon
May be, seller deliberately sent damaged or melted ones which can not be sold in shop
Once I rcvd all biscuits crushed, could not ask for refund else SVD offer etc will not apply after refund.
Put ‘The end’ for these kind of items from Amazon
Pre 2020, I never received damaged/torn packets of edible items but things are getting worse now.
During covid19 , I thought it was due to pressure on a small number of people working but now there’s no excuse.
Also Amazon retail, cloudtail are selling expired and very near expiry items. Some items has the expiry date written on web page, others don’t.
And one cc even has the guts to say that the fruit syrup was not expired yet!! Amazon India/Flipkart staff behaves the same as govt employees.
(Except for a very few bunch of people who are not a**holes).

I thought screenshots would be useful. Another dimer this month told me that even his unboxing video of a damaged item received had his refund/replacement request rejected.

Even my cousin got wrong orders (placed order for some diabetic care food like jams and stuff, got normal ones with sugar loaded) and said non returnable.
Also why are some people defending malpractices of giant companies? Do you all get some brownie points?

Most of Amazon India employees and logistics team are from India. What else can you expect from our people? It’s in our blood to take things for granted after attaining a certain status. Amazon CC can’t even make their delivery team to honour delivery timings mentioned while ordering, (they still ask for it while ordering certain items). I noticed this years back and came to conclusion that we as Indians should not expect Japanese type business practices yet. We have a long road to reach there. Even then we have some good people who go out of their way to serve customers.
Think ur account have more returns than delivered orders

Did you offer extra payment for special packaging? Have you tried contacting the seller directly? Amazon said clearly that it will come in the standard package as they can’t treat any package, especially just because you want something in a certain way. The worst part about all this is that amazon service has fallen down but as a user, our expectation has skyrocketed drastically, express delivery, industrial-grade packaging, and all this with free shipping, packaging, and with a deep discount on product’s MRP.
GL my friend with this attitude, amazon got nothing to lose, you are just losing your cool.
