Dear Customer,

Number retention charges of Rs. 20 has been deducted from Top-up balance on Jio Number xxxxxxxx as there was no usage observed for last 90 days.

after this mail not able to select top up plan in this number from jio website it is only allowing to select main plans after entering number https://imgur.com/a/y...E4 Which is the cheapest plan, no data/calls or nothing else needed just incoming.

in jio app have they removed option to recharge other numbers?if no then from where to recharge other numbers from jio app or website using main balance?

U can recharge from anywhere, paytm, apay, jiostore, etc..
Also, cheapest plan i found is of 395 for 84 days or 1550₹ for 1 year. You can find these plans under “value” tab.
Using main balance – no idea..
I consumed my airtel main balance by doing international call wink (they charge me 10₹/ min)

I opt this one only…4₹ per day on an average.

20+ balance is understandable but not letting customer recharge with top after it is deducted how is it explainable?

Jio going the BSNL way…
Even bsnl doesn’t allow top-up rc if the number is in gp 2..

Now the least possible plan would be 119..

BSNL GP1 (Grace Period 1):
GP1 is the first grace period for the prepaid users from the first day of your account expired under BSNL GSM mobile services. The duration of GP1 is 7 days from the expiry date. In that time, the users have to renew the prepaid plan to carry the balance amount. In Grace Period 1, BSNL prepaid users can receive the incoming calls and all the outgoing services (voice, data, and SMS services) of their prepaid number will be temporarily stopped. If users do not recharge their prepaid number with their plan during GP1, their existing balance will lapse and their mobile number will be moved to the GP2 (Grace Period 2).

Credit Clearance Date:

The Last day of GP1 for your BSNL prepaid number is the credit clearance date. In case users can’t renew their prepaid mobile number with their selected plan voucher during Grace Period 1 (GP1) their current account balance will have lapsed and their mobile number will be pushed to Grace Period 2 (GP2).

BSNL GP2 (Grace Period 2):

GP2 (Grace Period 2) beginning on the next day of the Grace Period 1. That is GP2 begins on the eighth day of expiry of a customer’s BSNL prepaid plan. If you failed to recharge your BSNL prepaid number in grace period 2, then all your incoming and outgoing services (voice, SMS, and data services) will be completely stopped. The Duration of Grace Period 2 is 165 days. The total grace period for BSNL prepaid customers is 172 days. This Grace period is applicable for all BSNL prepaid plans. If customers are not ready to recharge their BSNL prepaid number during the Grace Period 2, then their SIM card will be terminated and they may lose their BSNL mobile number.

Almost 2-3 months passed bro…
I had ₹46 in main balance and ya I do get this deactivation message but I didn’t took it seriously… sweat_smile sob
They deactivated the number in next 2-3 days(Don’t knw exactly as that was my jio-fi number ).
Connected with jio support and they mentioned, now they can’t do anything.
(That number was taken in Odisha and they send the deactivation message in Odiya language). That’s also one reason I paid no attention towards it.

I think it’s totally safe if we recharge within 90 days after plan expiry, they can’t deactivate the no.

what is gp 2 meaning?how to know if we are in gp2?

GP1 is of 7 days after your incoming blocks

GP2 is 8th day onwards

For example,

Let your Outgoing stops tomorrow (3rd March). Then your incoming would be till 9th March.

In this case;

GP1 : 10th – 16th March

GP2 : 17th March onwards
