I have 9 credit cards.. I don't used 3-4 of them .. does it will affect my cibil score... ? please guide how cibil score is calculated..

Nope ... Just make sure u do a small trn once in 3 months .
close some of them if they are not more then 1 - 2 years old

No reason. That is a misunderstanding. Total length of credit history, meaning your oldest account, impacts the score. Longer the history, higher the score upto a point. What people don't understand is that even if you close a card, it still reflects on your report for 7 years. So let's say you have 2 cards. One is 1 year old and the other is 5 years old. Now your credit history is 5 years old. Even if you close the older card, the length of credit history will remain as 5 years. It won't change to 1 year. The only negative would be that your total available credit limit would decrease and this your utilisation will increase.
