This +100 Karma is actually for earning an Activity Badge like BENEVOLENT or something similar. The Badge is for making 100 Top Comments.

Even there are such Badges for lesser and higher than 100 Top Comments.

But still, it can be confirmed only by @admin who has the knowledge about the process.

No,the max can be more than 20 if case of 1000°+ but top comment if selected by system will recieve only one time Karma. However, if choosen by adm/mod may recieve two times Karma (if it got again selected by system).
Basically, @bikidas2060 @Alpha.Barood like old discussion post about thoughts and music will make you Deal Subedar in a week without so much efforts.
There was a bug in early days of this roll out when @kartikxxx pointed out to admin but closed. That bug was any top comments by OP in any thread by OP will not recieve Karma, however notification will popup about "you have received gd and karma......"

If it giving automatically, maybe depends on the thread and if it's added manually, maybe depends on who adds it.. or on DnD, Hot deals etc... because even yesterday I got 10 only.
