It feels like its just a matter of time that SBI reverses all the cashback received for wallet load with ANI gateway

Just now received a text and email saying:
Paid Rs. 1085.0 via OlaMoney Wallet for txn. Xxxxxxxxxx on OlaMoney. Updated wallet balance is Rs. xxxxxx. Not you? Write to us at [email protected]
Checked the app, and the transaction is showing there in today's date, but the merchant name is Ola Money itself! Did anyone else face this? I don't have any postpaid dues also, so it can't be that as well.
Tejaa wrote:Wallet balance deduction is related to double cashback right? not RP/Cashback earnings for instant discount offers?Recent cashback earning worth 236 converted to zero. CB entry turned zero. Means they recovered 236.
And in the past (ref:Original post) they have made a direct debit entry as a purchase of amount 1085.
Seems like rules are for private banks only. PSU, Semi-Government doesn't seem to care. They can do whatever to cover their mistakes.
Tejaa wrote:SBI might've messed up somewhere. In my case, the wallet deduction was wrong too (Made two same value wallet loads in prev month and they thought cb got credited twice) but had no patience to pursue the case (Now i will)Oh yes. You are right. But then don't know why the calculation is matching
2085-236-1085 = 765

Even in my case also they treated same amount cashbacks as duplicate cashback. Probably some careless employee manually calculated in Excel.

Please note that due to a technical error, there was an excess cashback of INR 557 credited to your OlaMoney account. Hence until the amount of INR 557 is retrieved, the cashback will not be credited to the OlaMoney Wallet.
For excess 557 cashback, I have asked Ola SBI credit card team executive from Ola side, to deduct that from Olamoney wallet (have 1000 balance). But got reply as...
'We are sorry to inform you that we will not be able to adjust the cashback from the OlaMoney wallet and the cashback will be adjusted for future transactions'.
Then I told them, I'm closing the card. I won't do further transactions, atleast take a request to deduct that amount directly from credit card statement. But they still saying Cashback will be adjusted only for future transactions.

If this issue is not resolved now, after some months/years, they will update in Cibil as 557 due (it happened with few dimers here).

Today or later, they can only deduct OlaMoney wallet balance and not statement balance (Since by default RP/CB is linked to third party wallet).
May be, keep some balance in your Ola wallet and go ahead with card closure request. There's a chance of LTF offering (/waiver of annual fee at least) and even if they cancel the card + update pending dues in CIBIL you can get it fixed easily (via CIBIL or RBI)
getready wrote:About Cibil update, I guess it happened with other SBI CC users. So expecting they can do the same with Ola SBI CC also.

I asked the Ola executive 'why can't you deduct excess cashback from Ola wallet ?'. She replied, the Ola wallet balance 1000 right now I have is not the cashback I got from Ola SBI CC transactions and I have loaded that 1000 using different payment method, so they can't deduct.
After hearing that logic, I'm like WOW !!!
Has anyone managed to get the "corrected" cashback credit-debit transaction history from OLA Money customer care? They keep sending the CB transaction history that's visible on the app, not the new updated/corrected one (based on which, they are withholding new cashback credits).
i haven't done a summary but I read some email/sms from Olamoney saying they will be deducting wallet balance (and they seem to have corrected last 3 credits to +0 from a different value) Also SBI charged my card for the excess RP during sale period

@Tejaa bhai kuch hua solution
