I want to know all categories in the One card as I mostly end up in Grocery and Utility and fail to get the 5X points.
Any Suggestions?
Or tricks to complete the 3 Category transaction in a month for 5x Points??

This helped me.. thank you.. karma given
Pay bills using onecard through payzapp. It is considered under ‘shopping’ category.
zingoy also falls under shopping category.
trick is to do a small transaction of any other category. I think even wallet load would count as ‘transfers’ separate category.
Transfers are not considered for points calculation.
Thanks this worked for groceries category
Pay in any restaurant, will come under food & dining
is 5x turns to 1% cb or 0.5% cb?
Nearly 1%
.
Hi, I have recently got onecard and it is mentioned that 3 categories are need to unlock 5X points. Is there any minimum amount needed in each category. Purchased on Amazon(electronics) and added Rs.10 on Ola money(Taxi) and Zomato wallet(Groceries) each but 5x is still locked. Can anyone help me understand if I am missing something ? Thanks
if those transactions are reflecting as transfers those are of no help. so, do some transaction in amazon, swiggy etc.
Thanks
This is the basic
This is the basic idea of Rewards Points, how to earn them and how to redeem them. But there is also 5x Rewards Benefits on Top 3 Categories. I will explain that too:
- In any month, if you transact in 3 or more different categories, then for the top 2 Categories your rewards points will be multiplied by 5.
- For example: If you transact for ₹500 for Ordering Packet Food Items (Grocery), ₹500 for Booking Movie Tickets,(Entertainment), and ₹100 for Train Tickets (Travel) Booking in any month, then, for those transactions, Rewards Points will be 5x the usual 0.2% rate. So, you will be getting 1% rewards points for those two categories.
- If you spend in more categories, other than 3, then your points will be 0.2% only, for those categories.
- The categories where you will receive 5x points (1% rewards points) will keep changing depending on your purchase type. It will auto-select the top 3 categories at the end of each month.
That’s all about the rewards points. I hope I am clear. If you still have doubts, do let me know in the comments below, I will be happy to help. Let’s move towards the charges associated with OneCard.
This page answers all your questions about categories and how it works.
I hope this helps:

Min is ₹25 for fk gv on fk right?
also don't have any active airtel account for now.
Tried swiggy again and seems it worked this time.
Best part of onecard is 1% markup fee for foreign transaction.
I dont understand the excitement about 5X points when 1 point is just 0.2 Rs. Where if you have Amazon ICICI credit card, for all Amazon and partner merchant 3% ie. 3 Rs not 0.3 and for any other purchases you get 1% meaning 1Rs. And they get credited AmazonPay balance 2000 points = 2000 Rs. Which you can directly use. So, OneCard is too much hype, nicely marketed but absolutely no real value for customers.
I have two categories completed Groceries and Shopping I'm struggling to get the third category can someone help?
Tried Amazon gv but got shopping
Tried freecharge wallet but got transfers
Swiggy wallet has closed
The minimum add in Uber to Paytm shows 200rs so that's a no
I haven't done Kyc for Zomato and Ola wallets as I never use them is it worth it? Or will I get transfers again?
Is there any easier way?
Same here.. stuck for third category..what to buy from where?
Monthly they are running user specific offers which gives 5 % to 10 % on top of regular RPs..
Currently Electronic Diwali Dhamaka offer is going on which gives 5000 cashback on 50000 spend in electronics category.
Other than that nothing special in this card.
