Onion prices shooted upto Rs.80 a kilo few dats ago
Now it started decreasing and available in Rs. 40 to 60 as per quality and dryness.
Heavy Rainfall in Maharashtra led to upward prices of onions as usual every year and other vegetables also has to much rainfall and water logged farms making it unable to harvest and then it goes bad (Rot ).
Prices expected to come in control post Deepawali

Onion price was hiked to 100-120 last year if I recall right. So it doesn’t feel high this year. Main problem is price of potato. 45/kg is ridiculous.

Today prices are 45₹ after 70-85 in the last 2-3 weeks

All onions are coming from cold storage controlled by big shots. Thanks to recent Farm bills, hoarding is sort of legal and onion is no longer essential commodity. The elections are happening so political parties need funds. That money has to come from somewhere.
Prices of onion was around Rs.30 in Sept. It went to Rs.90 by 3rd week of Oct.

Thanks China, Electronics are still same rate. Else GOD knows, where this stupid PM will lead country to.
