Yes, I rejected the delivery of the Graphics Card based on the DOM on a Flipkart Order.
I let the delivery man open the outer box and asked him to let me check the outer box first, Date was of July 2022, so I denied to accept the delivery. I got the Reject OTP from Flipkart, which I shared with the Delivery guy and he left. Received Instant refund.

DOM is important for fridge n ACs . But in case of headphones i bought 2 sony neckbands, one was 2019 and 2021, the battery backup of 2019 is better and build quality too.

I bought Headphones (released in 2019)
Cups of leather. With time leather decays.
So thinking of getting newer DOM so leathers stays intact for much longer

And in my case, It was a Graphics Card imported during the Mining Time, So there is a high chance that they are selling old/refurbished cards. Can't take the risk of that.
Also, for many products warranty doesn't start from the date of Invoice, it starts from the date of import/manufacturing/date of leaving the factory. So, the total warranty can't be overridden by the date of purchase/bill.

For which products warranty is from dom?

Most of the Products like laptops, GPU, etc.
Consumer Warranty starts from the Invoice only, but there is a hidden clause that specifies these terms. (i.e. Maximum Warranty will be 2/3/5 years from the DOM/Import/etc.) Most companies do not harass end consumers for this, but why take a chance?
There is a term called Trader's License, between Company and the reseller/distributor, in which it is specified that in how much time they have to clear that particular stock. Many times companies do provide exceptions in these terms. But the end consumer is not aware of the same.
