Ask political parties to not spend that humongus amount of money on vote. Donate that too orissa charity. And government has plenty of money …these campaighns are only to drain money from common man.

Have you been to such place(s) or ever faced any such mishaps dear? I don’t think so, becoz as bitter the truth you are stating, it still needs (our) people’s support whether it’s Kerala, TN, AP or Odisha that faces such turbulence every year. Only govt fund can’t help people much.. it’s another story that these funds go in wrong hands, but again it never stopped us from donating to Army, CRPF or any State/ National relief fund for fighting disasters like this. If we can unite during those mishaps, why ignore these??

I am too surprised at people’s (specially Nationalists) zero enthusiasm helping millions distressed during such extremities but happily campaigning for anything that their party propagates!! Doesn’t Odisha belong to India anymore??

Strange! 🤔

I have faced that cyclone. I visited my family during those days. Man we were out of electricity for days, 2 weeks exactly. I loved the way it went to become dark after night fell. But we had to pay 500-1500 per household in order get hold onto a generator, so that we can charge our phones, run motors to power pumps. Municipality gave clean water. But at those moments those had biggest connection with big people got the resources first. Don’t even ask about plight among slum dwellers. Bhai, no water, toilet, food and sanitary product. People defecated in the open, on the side of the roads. Big Bazaar, Reliance Fresh had no supply to feed us. 1st of all no electricity n no internet made cashless payment obsolete, n they can’t give change to people, who gave big notes. Roads were blocked because of fallen trees. We, the local people, cleaned them with assistance of governing bodies. Bhai, rulling parties’ people really really helped. Modi failed to acknowledge us during cyclone. He didn’t send a single message to us. Because he knew he won’t win in Odisha. He was too busy in joining in his party morchas in other states. You can go visit his twitter account for the same if you don’t believe me. Whatever, BJD, the rulling party, really won our hearts that day. Their own houses got ruined, yet they helped others. These things seldom happens. There is no reported case of violence during those days. Yes looteras had their best days in years past n years to come during those days. They targeted Hostel n P.G.s the most. 🙂 Bhubaneswar lost its beauty. Puri lost it all. Its people suffered the most. We ll never forget what media did. Fuckers said Fani made its landfall in West Bengal. They they rectified the same. I really don’t get why Odia people get such apathy. Are our sorrows, pain not real? Yes, we are hard workers. We are very poor people too. But that means our lives don’t matter?
