I have bought and sold several properties in different countries. Focusing only on India, I have sold one and purchased three in just the past few months. Here is the information for the one recently sold:

1. year of purchase ? 1979 (by father)
2. cost of purchasing the property ? Rs 10,000
3. year of building ?? ( pls mention which year it was built ) ( ONLY FOR PRIVATELY OWNED PROPERTY ) 1983
4. cost of building it ?? 1.5 lakhs
5. price if sold now ?? Sold for 25 crores a few months back
6. location - city ? New Delhi

Normal price for homes in Delhi. Good localities are even higher. In fact I insisted on all white otherwise it would have been higher. Take a look at home prices in any central or South Delhi area. Entire home not one floor

according to my research, Chennai padur is a good place to invest in 

it is developing very fast due to a lot of investments by big companies

plan a trip down there when you get free you will understand

This happens once in a lifetime if someone buys a property before an area gets developed and later that area becomes a good neighbourhood.

Dwarka(Delhi) in early 90s was almost a village(in fact I remember clearly a bus stop called Dwarka Gaon) & now look at the flat prices there.
