Dear all,
My friend is working in state government job. His passport expired and want to renew. He is married but he didn't want to let his family know at this time as it is intercaste marriage
Now in passport renewal is it compulsory to give all true information? if he shows married then spouse name is getting printed on passport.
Are there any issues with he giving false info about his marriage? He is government employee that's why he needs to be assured weather to omit this info or not? Can anyone guide about this situation.

Any wrong information given is liable for consequences for passport or any other official document. Suppose for verification purpose LIU gets to know about his marriage then what?

your friend wouldn't be omitting information but straight away lying in the application. Not advisable.

There will be 2 things -
1. If you get caught by Authorities then you can say that You were not married at that time or else you were getting divorced.
2. Mention on your Passport that you are married!
