Yesterday, someone posted this trick (first read here) - https://www.desidime.com/discussions/help-idf...ps
I tried this website - https://bbps.idfcban...t/
but i use "other bank net banking & debit cards" option and paid through my phonepe cashback/gift card and successfully credited in my kotak bank credit cards.
However, i tried "Credit Card" option but same like him, my bill payment failed and money stuck.
Here is the step -
enter customer details and bill details -
CC biller name type first 3 digit like "SBI", "FEDERAL", "KOTAK" and "BOB"
After bill fetch, "Tick mark" base bill amount option
Now edit total amount and type "Rs1" for first time.
Now Most important - Payment mode choose "other bank net banking & debit cards" option
Dnt choose "Credit Card" option, I repeat dnt choose Credit Card option otherwise you bill payment will get failed and money stuck.
Next payu gateway page open and here UPI, Bharat QR, debit card and Wallet option available on payu page
Personally i paid Rs1 and Rs74 through by Phonepe cashback/gift card balance and successfully paid.
However, my Kotak credit card bill payment amount showing in kotak app after 6-8hrs (maybe because i use night time).
I recommended try Rs1 credit card bill payment and dnt use higher amount.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Updated - Many people also tried Freecharge wallet balance and Ola Wallet balance and successfully paid to Kotak CC bill and SBI Card bill.
But First time try with Rs1, if everything working perfectly then 2nd time try Rs100 and then try higher amount but try at your own risk.
I remind you again, Dnt choose "Credit Card" option on IDFC BBPS page payment mode, I repeat dnt choose Credit Card option otherwise you bill payment will get failed and money stuck.
Hasta la vista.

You can use your credit card/prepaid card via Ola, freecharge, phonepe gateway etc.
Note - Dnt choose "Credit Card" option directly on IDFC BBPS page, I repeat dnt choose Credit Card option otherwise you bill payment will get failed and money stuck.

Try at your own risk.
Tried at 10, 100. It went fine. Jumped to higher amount, it failed and money stuck.! Even after selecting other bank netbanking and debit card.
Better to remove the post, if it has this high failure rate. Money will be stuck for various users.
Sadly failed for me..now waiting for refund .

Anyway, personal group sab ab tak toh kisi ka failed na hua. Jisne jisne "other bank net banking & debit cards" option choose kar k pay kiya.
Made two cc payments of SBI Bill
1st transaction Rs 100
2nd transaction Rs 1374
both instantly credited to CC and received SMS from SBI too for successful bill payment.
Now question is regarding 2k Ola Money wallet load limit without charges. is it cumulative or for individual transaction?

Do multiples of 2k transaction, no charges.
Another person successfully paid 10k+10k via 2 ola wallet account.
First check with Rs2001 or more, if any conv fee applied then do multiples of 2k transactions.

no charges less than 2k. personally verified.

@purval6300 Are you guys transaction more than permission limit ?
Clearly written when you choose SBI Card -
"Please do not initiate payment more than the Maximum Permissible Amount limit"
After your bill is fetch, next page. Check Maximum Permissible Amount.

Amount was 2850..well below max limit
purval6300 wrote:Ok, your bill is failed where ? i mean transaction is successfull on wallet gateway to Payu gateway or failed directly on wallet gateway page ?Amount was 2850..well below max limit
My payment failed for 8k and 24k. No transaction ID generated either. Money debited from cc to freecharge was successful.
Amount was well within permissible limit.

Bill payment failed.. transaction was successful
kushank wrote:now good luck chasing for refund. My payment failed for 8k and 24k. No transaction ID generated either. Money debited from cc to freecharge was successful.

I personally did 4 transaction, diff. denom. cumulative 7k
What worked for me, adding money to Ola money wallet first and then doing cc payment on BBPS.

Until 5k worked well using ola money now even after entering the correct otp it gives error wrong otp
shubhampakhare wrote:Try Rs4999 or Rs4900 or lower amount.Until 5k worked well using ola money now even after entering the correct otp it gives error wrong otp
Check your ola wallet balance, if any balance available then use that balance first.
I think daily 4 or 5 times working and then many people earlier told they got wrong otp error.

Here is the mcc.
Phonepe com - 4814
www OLACABS com - 4121
Ola money zipcash - 4900
Freecharge - 4900 (not sure on this)
Now check ur card terms and decide. Won't comment on individual card.
Don't say banks😡. It's always SBI. They have blocked my card probably 100+ times in last one year.
Whoever designed their fraud detection system, must be some guy, who never use any debit/credit card or netbanking and relies on atm cash😅 and thinks online means scam. Such a broken system.
Other banks, first call and ask if u did transaction or not and then block (actually they don't as u already confirmed it). But sbi doesn't care about cardholders. They don't unblock even after telling them that I have done the transaction.
I just don't understand the logic here. Won't a cardholder be liable to pay, if any fraud transaction happens and he doesn't report it immediately. Why SBI needs to block any transaction or card, when cardholder hasn't complaint?
I raised this even with rbi Ombudsman earlier in February. They gave same stupid reasons and closed complaint. If more people complaint, then something might happen.
This thread is taking on a negative tone. Folks, let's refrain from panicking or using terms like "fraudulent." Such words are typically reserved for situations involving stolen cards or illegal activities like hawala payments. Exploring tricks and loopholes to get some cashback on CC payments doesn't constitute fraudulent activity. Let's apply some common sense and avoid over-reading the MITC. Even banks sometimes fail to fully comply with RBI regulations, leading to fines, but that doesn't imply they engage in fraudulent activities.
The primary reason for these issues could be attributed to IDFC. They are a Chindi bank, and they are known for their inability to handle even minor financial losses(even 1 re), If you all remember the frequent changes to their terms and conditions during their DC reward points program. Also, they have the audacity to compare their shitty credit cards with Infinia on their website and engage in trolling other banks on Twitter.
