Payment Gateway Charges for Advance Tax Payments

I choose canara everytime the option came up in portal... still can keep something by paying through simplyclick cc...

Gotta pay 7k tax in a while. Which gateway and card to chose? Have most major cards

I still choose fk axis on Canara gateway.

I think ace might give better. Magnus should be the best though.

They still give rewards for govt payments?

Did via sbi bank , no charge was there

Canara Bank Gateway + Flipkart Axis CC
There are other CCs giving flat % returns on "any" transaction like Axis Ace/Standard Chartered Ultimate, but I don't have them so can't comment about them in this particular scenario.

I paid yesterday though hdfc gateway using slice card(slice mini) got 2% monies as have more than 5L monies... No gateway charges applied

Its not true. Check your HDFC or other CC bill, extra money is added. 
I did payment of 8550 and 8662.64 debited to my HDFC Diners club card, even though on payment gateway page it was only showing 8550, even OTP message was showing 8550 only. But eventually debited 8662.

So, those who are using HDFC gateway for CC, extra charges will apply.

Beware of using HDFC gateway while doing payment. On gateway page it will not show any extra charges, but on CC bill it will appear. I did my self, so share here.

Yes, Flipkart Axis gave 1.5% cashback on advance tax payment

You get 3 months time for advance tax payment, and you can pay it in as many parts as you like during this timeframe. If you are unsure or if no one has used a particular CC before, you can pay a small amount with all your CCs and check the CC bill for cashback. Then pay the full amount with the one you get max cashback.

No idea about Diners club card but no extra charges debited from my RuPay credit card statement.

Yes, FK axis , tried and tested repeatedly and recently. Can confirm that I always get 1.5% on advance tax payment as well as NPS.

Didn't understand the 3 months thing which you mentioned, pl explain.

Afaik, once we cross mar 31, it will be self assessment tax till tax filing.

Honestly bro, if you have an ace.. try it out na. Pay for minimum and check the points.

I don't have an ace, but I do believe it should give. But no harm in trying first.. I guess 1st qtr is already gone, so you must be trying to pay for next qtr.

Just confirming for ITR and all tax payments, you used Canara Gateway + Flipkart Axis credit card right? 

Fk Axis gives 1.5% and gateway charges ~0.5% so net effective gain 1% right?

Right.
+ 1% on cc bill payment (I use hd.fc Plat card for this)
effective ~2% gain vs Bank payment which was the only option previously.
