Hey hope you are doing good. Yes same situation. Also not sure what would be the scenario if you already have 3 axis cards. But this card is effectively first year free though.

Yeah card will be FYF and fee waiver is also easily achievable @ 30k but i am not so sure after march there will me much bank specific offers for citi cards or not and if i directly apply for citi card than i will be getting Rs 3000 joining bonus which is not the case with swapping

Yeah new application will hit cibil also new application doesn’t guarantee card approval

Customer support confirmed that it's not a new application. It's just credit card swap, like an upgrade. If we give consent to swap, they will directly send the new card. @Random123
So, it is getting messy, in some months again things move to axis, lots of plastic will land up in bins...

Even the card is closed, cibil will be impacted
Even i swapped, almost a week back, but i haven't heard anything from citibank, not even via phone, sms or email. Plus, i was having dues on my card, the time i swapped. Although, i have cleared it now, but don't know if they have accepted my swapping consent or not. 🤷
