No it doesn't, me & @panchabhut once had a long discussion regarding this. Only instant discount is tax free but any gv code/cb coming into wallets etc is taxable once the limit of 50k for total of such txns crossed in a financial year.

I am doing Wallet Loading of 1k to 3k just for Paying Credit Card Bills because 1. My Debit Card will have some transactions because after having a CC I don't use Debit Card anymore. So,Yes For Pre-approved offer banks might need this feature.
