Amex acceptability problem is more of a pos problem for me. Not a problem you face online.

The main point/need of using wallets is for offline usage, more specifically at those shops who only have QR codes & no card reader machine/no MCC code as grocery/departmental store. What’s the point in using wallet online when directly using cards give more benefits in majority of cases.

Agreed. Using credit card at small shops will be a problem now.

But my point was more around, even if you have excess mobikwik balance, it’s really easy to utilise it as its universally accepted on all of online e-commerce.

I load 4k using Amex (which gives regular as well as bonus rewards) and then use Amex card to earn/burn Supercash on all txns.

It is alright for amex MRCC card users but for others it is a waste because those 4k you could have otherwise spend online using better cards whereas in offline shops almost no card is as good as paytm wallet loaded using cards giving 1-2% benefit.

Less chance… As currently too if that particular citi card exceed the limit of 10k u can still add to paytm wallet via citi online without any chrges

Paytm think cos they have everywhere in small shop, banning credit cards will save its charges and people will shift to upi/debit card

What paytm dont understand that people use paytm only for getting points else for every shop that have paytm also have upi, and so customer will directly pay by upi, amazon upi provide once in while cashback

For website people will directly use cc or other wallet like mobikwik

For bill payment payzapp/ pocket provide better discount

PS:on sidenote paytm are sensitive to reaction , and maybe if enough number of people mesage then also thru twitter/Fb they may roll back in some time like there other experimental endeavour
